Instead of going big, we planned with intention—The intention to create a senior living community with heart and soul. The belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, secure, and cared for, no matter the challenges they face. The desire

to offer Tennessee seniors a better quality of senior living—one that’s committed to understanding them and making them feel valued. The goal to develop a new kind of programming, based around modern evidence instead of outdated practices and ideas about dementia care. The wish to give back to the wonderful Tennessee communities we’re also proud to be part of.

Our residents enjoyed a sweet treat on a hot day with refreshing Baltimore snowballs! From bright flavors to big smiles, it was the perfect way to cool down and enjoy a little something special together.

The Golden Girls knew what they were doing… there’s always room for cheesecake! 😉🍰💛

Our Golden Girls Women’s Club put their skills to work making mini cheesecakes—and, of course, the best part was getting to enjoy the finished product!

A little creativity, a little something sweet, and plenty of smiles made for a wonderful afternoon together at Emory Mills.

We trust our residents… mostly. 😂🎯💙

Our Memory Support team put their trust—and their heads—on the line for this one! Armed with pool noodles, our residents took their best shots at knocking cups right off our team members’ heads.

Add Hit Me With Your Best Shot to the soundtrack and you’ve got a pretty perfect afternoon. 😂🎶

There was plenty of movement, participation, and hand-eye coordination happening, but judging by these smiles, everyone was far more interested in the FUN.

At Emory Mills, meaningful engagement doesn’t always have to look serious. Sometimes it looks like a pool noodle and a staff member brave enough to wear a cup on their head. 💙😂

Good food, good friends, and a table full of smiles. 🍽️💙

Our residents enjoyed getting out for a delicious lunch at The Chop House in Knoxville! From choosing a favorite meal to simply enjoying an afternoon out together, these outings are always something to look forward to.

Staying connected to the greater Knoxville community is an important part of life at Emory Mills. Sometimes a great day really is as simple as piling into the van, heading to a favorite restaurant, and sharing a meal with friends.

And judging by these smiles, lunch was a hit! 😊

A little live music makes any day better. 🎶💙

We loved welcoming the Akima Club of Knoxville to Emory Mills for a special performance for our residents! There’s something about live music that brings an extra energy to the room, and this talented group brought plenty of smiles along with their songs.

Everything’s just peachy at Emory Mills! 🍑💙

Our residents enjoyed a perfectly peachy day filled with fresh peaches, delicious peach pie, peach ice cream, and plenty of peach-themed fun. Judging by all those smiles, we’d say it was a pretty sweet success!

At Emory Mills, some of the best days are built around simple experiences that engage the senses, bring people together, and give everyone something fun to enjoy.

Good company + peach everything = a pretty great day. 🍑🥧😊

Creativity has no age 🎨🐛💙

Our Memory Support residents had a wonderful time creating colorful "wiggle worms," using their imagination and creativity to bring each one to life. No two were exactly alike, and that's what made them so special.

Art is about so much more than the finished project. Guided by the Hearthstone Institute's I'm Still Here® philosophy, creative activities encourage self-expression, support fine motor skills, provide sensory engagement, and give residents the opportunity to experience purpose and accomplishment.

Sometimes, a few craft supplies and a little imagination are all it takes to brighten the day.

Every step is taken together 💙🚶

Enjoying a walk along our beautiful outdoor path with a member of our therapy team, surrounded by fresh air and peaceful scenery, was the perfect opportunity to combine movement with the simple joy of being outside.

Therapy isn't just about exercise. It's about helping residents maintain strength, balance, confidence, and the ability to continue doing the things they enjoy most.

At Emory Mills, we're grateful for moments like these that support both physical well-being and quality of life, one step at a time.

Our Memory Support residents had a great time exercising together with resistance bands, guided by our wonderful therapy team. The room was filled with smiles, encouragement, and lots of movement as everyone participated at their own pace.

Guided by the Hearthstone Institute's I'm Still Here® philosophy, we create opportunities for meaningful engagement that support each resident's abilities. Group exercise encourages strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence while making fitness fun and social.

A little movement can make a big difference, especially when it's shared with friends. 💙

Yeehaw! Cowboy Day came to Memory Support! 🤠🐴💙

Our residents saddled up for a little Western fun, making their own cowboy caviar and trying their hand at horseshoes. There was plenty of participation, concentration, movement, and, of course, lots of smiles along the way.

Through the Hearthstone Institute’s I’m Still Here® approach, themed days like this create opportunities for meaningful engagement through food, movement, sensory experiences, and hands on activities. Everyone can participate in a way that works for them while simply enjoying the fun of the day.

We’d say this Cowboy Day was a rootin’ tootin’ success! 🤠🌵
