Love that we teach our girls this!

In Rainbow we teach quality not quantity! Here is just a little food for thought this weekend.

From Mrs. Sara Lee Martins Family:
Dear family and friends,

Following a valiant 6 month battle with pancreatic cancer; Sara Lee passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by the love of her family at home while listening to the tune of β€œNearer my God to Thee” sung by her beloved children Heidi and Kenton. Glenn had stepped out for an errand in the Martin family van. Upon his return a butterfly landed on the antenna, lingered, then fluttered off and he knew his dear wife of 42 years had gone to glory. Our family’s grief is lessened knowing that so many of you have been thinking of and praying for us during this time. Because Sara Lee’s life and work spanned the entire state of California, we plan to have the funeral in Orange followed 6-8 weeks later by a Rainbow Memorial in Chico. The Funeral will be this Wednesday, April 8th at 3PM at Zion Community Church 710 S Cambridge St, Orange, CA. Details on the Rainbow memorial which will likely be at the end of May will be published once they are confirmed.

We invite you to please go to http://www.oursmilingsaralee.com/ to share your stories, pictures, and memories of Sara Lee. We appreciate your sentiments of condolence and we kindly ask in lieu of flowers that you honor Sara Lee’s last request and go to http://www.oursmilingsaralee.com/donate/ to support the California Rainbow Girls Foundation. Our family cannot say β€œthank you” enough for the support you’ve all given us throughout this journey.

Over the last weekend, Oak Summit attended Grand Assembly. The theme was 'A Candy Land Dream in 2015'. All of the girls had had a great time. We were so proud of Mallory and all of her floorwork, flawless flag tribute and amazing representative speech. She did an awesome job! Breanna placed third for ritual competition and Brandi sang her little heart out. Makena placed second in the sew and show for her age group. Such a great job by all the girls. We are so proud of all of them. We had a great time and can't wait for next year! β€πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸπŸ¬πŸŽ΅πŸŽΆπŸ’–
