Huge congratulations are in order for our Miss Oregon, Allyssa Defillipo, who is a finalist for the Miss America Quality of Life Award!

Congratulations to our very own Miss Oregon, Allyssa Defillipo who has been recognized as a Quality of Life Finalist at Miss America! 💫

We are so proud of Allyssa and excited to see her recognized on the national stage for her hard work and the impact she has made with her community service initiative, “E.A.T. to Live: Transforming Lives Through Nutrition.”

The Quality of Life Award is among the most prestigious honors awarded at Miss America and shines a light on the women who have made significant impacts in their communities and inspire future generations. The winners of this award will be recognized later this week and awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships.

📣 The search for the Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Class of 2027 starts now!

Are you a young woman between the ages of 14-28 in Klamath, Lake, Jackson or Deschutes counties and are interested in:

🎓 Scholarships:
Earn money for college from one of the nation’s leading scholarship providers for young women

Wow, wow, wow! What a Miss Oregon week for the books!

⚖️ Miss Klamath County, Emily Redling, placed 2nd Runner-Up, won the Miss Preliminary Talent Award AND won the Miss Oregon Women in Law Award by forever Miss Oregons and licensed attorneys, Carolyn Ladd and Lynette Boggs Perez, two incredible, trail-blazing women, who also provide a priceless mentorship opportunity to the recipient

📚 Miss City of Sunshine, Alyse Perez, received 3rd place for Miss Oregon’s Community Service Initiative Award

✨ Miss Klamath County’s Teen, Makina Start, and Miss City of Sunshine’s Teen, Angela Lee, absolutely shined on stage this year, and were such fantastic representatives of our region

🎣 Miss Southern Gem, Sammie Huffman, won the Miss Preliminary On Stage Question Award and placed in the Miss Top 12

🤘🏼 Miss Southern Jewel, Quinn Earl, placed in the Miss Top 12

🎤 Miss Southern Gem’s Teen, Em Degerness, won a Teen Preliminary Talent Award and placed 1st Runner-Up

❤️ Miss Southern Jewel‘s Teen, Abigail Akins, won the Heart of Oregon Award for raising the most money for the American Heart Association for the Teens and also placed in the Teen Top 10

💖 Our Shining Stars from Klamath Falls: Parker D., Adilyn B., Eliana M. and Brynlee S. got to perform on, and walk across the Miss Oregon stage, spend time with their Miss and Teen “big sisters” during the Beanie Baby Sparkle Social and ride on a float during the annual Miss Oregon parade

👑 Klamath Falls resident and Miss America 2002, Katie Harman Ebner, was the Finals Night emcee and gave a special performance alongside Miss Oregon 2025, Mya Cash and Miss Oregon’s Teen 2025, Mila Pearl for her 25th Anniversary as Forever Miss Oregon 2001

🫶🏼 Klamath Falls resident and and former long-time Miss Klamath County Board member Cheri Brown Sandberg, received the much-deserved 2026 Miss Oregon Volunteer of the Year Award

Other at-large, regional and digital Miss titles representing Klamath well at Miss Oregon were:

🚁 Miss Majestic Lakes, Melanie Potter (Klamath Falls resident and former Miss City of Sunshine’s Teen 2022, Miss City of Sunshine 2025) who won Miss Preliminary On Stage Question and placed in the Miss Top 12

🩺 Miss Applegate Valley, Jennifer Ibarra-Barajas (Klamath Falls resident and multi-year Miss Klamath County delegate)

👩🏻‍💼 Miss Central Valley, Bridget Vargas (Klamath Falls resident and multi-year Miss Klamath County delegate)

💪🏼 And last, but certainly not least, Miss Sierra Cascade, Allyssa Defillipo (Klamath Falls resident and former Miss City of Sunshine 2022, Miss Klamath County 2024, Miss Southern Jewel 2025) who won the Miss Preliminary Evening Gown Award AND became our new Miss Oregon 2026! She’ll now be heading to Florida this September to compete for the iconic title of Miss America 👑🇺🇸

Miss America here she comes! 👑

There she is.. Miss Oregon 2026 is Allyssa Defillipo! 👑💫

Allyssa is a 26 year old from Klamath Falls, Oregon who started the week with the title of Miss Sierra Cascade and walked away with the ultimate title of Miss Oregon 2026. She is a nutrition coach and her community service initiative is “E.A.T. To Live” which focuses on providing nutrition education, support, and resources.

Allyssa showcased a vocal performance to “La vie en rose” for the talent phase of competition and earlier in the week, earned the preliminary evening gown award! Now, she is preparing to fly to Philadelphia to participate in the America 250 parade where she will participate with delegates from across the country in the historic “Show Your Shoes Parade!”
