We are a new student organization aiming to create a plant and science loving community on UCF campus!

We host meetings once a month as well as social events and identification hikes that will be posted about on this page :)

Join us this upcoming Wednesday for a repot and movie night! Bring any plants that need a new home to get a new pot and fresh soil! We will be providing a select number of pots, a variety of soils, and tools! Bring blankets and / or cushions to enjoy and watch Princess Mononoke!

April is almost here! We are having our GBM this upcoming Wednesday, and it's no April Fools joke! We will be having a movie vote for an end of April movie night, a Terrarium checkup, and our usual plant swap! If you have built a Terrarium with the BSA before, bring it to our GBM to share the progress it has made or get a refill on Isopods!

Finally, a March BSA event! Welcome back from spring break botanizers! We are joining the Arboretum on the Cypress Dome Invasive Plant Removal Volunteer Shift! Make sure to RSVP on the Arboretum's Knight Connect! Close toed shoes and long pants are required for this event!

We have extended our Officer Application window! Everyone will have until Friday the 13th until 5 pm to submit a form. Voting will occur over the weekend and end on Monday the 16th at 5 pm! Available officer positions are posted in the discord along with all the requirements!

Join us this Thursday for our last event of the semester!! We will be going to the ucf arboretum to have a small hike and build our terrariums! We will be providing most of the materials, but if you would like to make a terrarium in one of your own jars, we would love more than anything for you to make it into something special! We will also have isopods for the Terrariums this time around! We can't wait to have this amazing event right before the end of the semester!

We can't believe we are here at Mead's Fall Festival and Growvember! There are endless amounts of plants to be seen and taken home! If you have time today, stop by, the event is going on until 4 pm!
(I definitely took the unconventional trail around the event😅)

We can't wait to attend Growvember this year! Stop by to add some native plants to your collection and enjoy the outdoors! The BSA will be at Mead all day on Saturday, so we would love to see you there!

We are hosting our officer elections on October 7th at our GBM! If you would like to become a BSA officer, make sure to fill out the officer interest google form that is linked in the officer elections discord channel!
All potential officers will need to present themselves to the bsa members if they are able to attend. If not, submit a short video to the same officer elections channel!

Join us this weekend for a volunteer herb planting for the Moonrise Birth collective! We know finals are coming up, so take a break outside and touch some dirt! We will have a tent for setup for shade, water, and freeze pops! So make sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen!

Join us this Thursday for our March General Body Meeting & an outdoor movie night featuring “A Bug’s Life”! There’ll be tables to sit at and outdoor blankets to lay down. We’ll also be providing popcorn and tea, but feel free to bring any blankets, pillows, drinks, or snacks you’d like to!
Location: UCF Arboretum Natural Lands, Timothy R. Newman Pavilion (located across from Garage C)
Date & Time: March 6th at 6:30pm

Join us for a colab workshop next week! We have limited supplies, so make sure to RSVP through our Knight Connect where there is more information for the event!
Kokedamas are another way to pot a plant by surrounding the plant with soil and then wrapping the soil in moss. This helps the plant retain moisture, and it can be displayed in a small dish or hung near a window.
