Osceola County ARES held our monthly meeting, where members discussed new opportunities to become more involved in our community and continue strengthening our emergency communications efforts.

Following the discussion, Steve (KN4ETY) provided a presentation on the WeatherWise app, including how to use its features and how it can be a valuable tool for staying informed about weather conditions.

Thank you to Steve for sharing his knowledge and helping our members expand their skills. We appreciate everyone who attended and continues to support the growth of Osceola County ARES.

📡 Osceola County ARES Monthly Breakfast Recap

Last Saturday, members of Osceola County ARES gathered for our monthly breakfast at Village Inn.

We were happy to have 13 members and guests join us for a morning of great conversation, fellowship, and discussion about current activities and upcoming events. These monthly gatherings provide a great opportunity to connect with fellow amateur radio operators, share ideas, and strengthen the friendships that make our group successful.

Thank you to everyone who attended. We always enjoy the opportunity to spend time together and look forward to seeing everyone again at next month’s breakfast!

This year marks 25 years of Osceola Amateur Radio Emergency Service serving our community.

Since 2001, our volunteers have been ready to step in when communications are needed most. From supporting emergency operations and community events to helping during severe weather and disasters, we’ve always been committed to keeping Osceola County connected.

Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who has been part of this journey. Your time, dedication, and willingness to serve have made these last 25 years possible.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re looking forward to continuing that mission for years to come.

📡 ARRL Field Day 2026 Recap

Osceola County ARES had a successful and enjoyable ARRL Field Day at the Osceola County Emergency Operations Center.

Throughout the day, members worked together to set up stations, operate on the air, and demonstrate the capabilities of amateur radio in a simulated emergency communications environment. We were also pleased to welcome several visitors, who had the opportunity to learn about amateur radio, ask questions, and even get on the air under the guidance of our operators.

Field Day is a great opportunity to sharpen operating skills, test equipment, and introduce others to the hobby and the important role amateur radio plays in emergency communications.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and stopped by to support us. We appreciate everyone who helped make this year’s Field Day a success, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
