Haven at Foxwood Farm A place where farm animals can feel the grass beneath their feet, the sun on their faces and a home to live out their days in happiness.

For as long as I can remember, I have felt the most comfortable in the company of animals. I decided at a very young age that I wanted to create a sanctuary where farm animals can live out their lives in safety knowing and feeling that no harm would ever come to them. After my children were old enough to not “hang” with their parents anymore we decided to take a leap of faith. Haven at Foxwood Farm was that leap. We are a place of peace and tranquility.

The nights have been cold but the days have been beautiful.

The biggest issue with chickens is the wind ripping through their outdoor enclosure so I put up a tarp and a blanket on the northwest facing side to help make their outdoor time more enjoyable.

It worked.

It's amazing how much warmer it is without that pesky wind.

The ladies agree❤️

Just a few items I am selling at my Holiday shows.

I can't get enough of these amazing pieces of wood. Each one has a life before coming to me. I love seeing the imperfections and the bark that was left on after going through the planer. Thank God they are not perfect!!

I wanted to use holiday colors but not strictly holiday flowers. I feel each one can stay on the wall all year long but hey, whom am I to say that you can't store it away and bring it back out for the Holiday season only?

I will be posting my show schedule soon and I can't wait to see you all❤️

Tommy may be enjoying this cold snap but Quinn and Orla are definitely NOT!

Especially the wind.

What does that mean?

Winterization of the coops and enclosure has begun.

Yep people it's just around the corner. Winter that is.

I am so grateful as I know Quinn and Orla are for these thick clear tarps given to me by my friend Patricia Blaskovic. The ladies will be sleeping breeze free til next Spring.

The next step is foam insulation boards and moving blankets but we will wait til the days and nights stay cold before adding them. Next week will be in the 60's and I know the ladies are still enjoying their walks to their side garden. I don't want to block that off yet.

Have a wonderful Fall Day!! It's Fall right?😂
