📣 7:46 pm Update! 6 bales have been sponsored every month! Woohoo! You guys are amazing!

2 people. 4 bales. Every single month. ❤️🐴

Just 12 hours after sharing Faith’s story, TWO incredible people have committed to sponsoring a bale of hay for her every month!

That means Faith already has $24 in monthly hay support, and we’re just getting started.

13 more bales to go to reach her monthly goal!

To our very first Hay for the Haven sponsors: THANK YOU. You’re helping us build something that will make a difference for years to come.

Want to be part of Faith’s story, too?

❤️ Before there was a ranch. Before there was a rescue. Before there were more than 50 lives saved… there was Faith.

Today, we’re introducing the very first horse in our Hay for the Haven campaign. And there couldn’t be a more meaningful horse to start with.

Because Faith is the reason all of this exists.

Her registered name is Bar Chics Chic. She’s a registered American Quarter Horse and a direct descendant of the legendary Doc Bar.

But despite her pedigree and everything she once represented, Faith found herself in the slaughter pipeline.

When we learned about Faith, we were still living in Denver. We hadn’t even closed on our ranch in Missouri. We didn’t have an equine rescue. We didn’t have a plan to start one.

We just knew this horse needed someone.

So we said yes.

Faith arrived in heartbreaking condition, with a body condition score of just 1.5 out of 9. She was severely emaciated, and there were moments when we genuinely weren’t sure she would survive.

But she did.

And somewhere along the way, something extraordinary happened.

We thought we were rescuing Faith. We had no idea she was about to change our lives.

She introduced us to a world we knew very little about. A world where horses like her, regardless of their breeding, their history, or the years they’d spent serving people, could end up discarded and headed toward slaughter.

We couldn’t unsee it.

And we couldn’t walk away.

That one decision to save Faith became Starlight Haven Equine Rescue. Since then, we’ve rescued more than 50 horses and donkeys, each with their own story, their own struggles, and their own chance at a different future.

And it all started with her.

🐴 Today, Faith is kicking off Hay for the Haven!

Our goal is to build a community of monthly hay sponsors who help keep the feeders full for Faith and all the animals who now call Starlight Haven home.

Faith needs approximately 15 bales of hay each month, and for just $12 a month, you can sponsor a bale and become part of the story she started.

One bale. One horse. One month at a time.

❤️ Faith changed our lives. Maybe today, she’ll inspire you to change one, too.

🌾🐴 THEY’VE BEEN RESCUED. NOW HELP US KEEP THEM FED. ❤️

Rescuing a horse is just the beginning.

What happens after the rescue? That’s where the real commitment begins.

Every single day, the horses and donkeys at Starlight Haven depend on us for food, medical care, safety, and the chance to heal.

And every single day, they need hay.

Today, we’re launching something we’ve been dreaming about…

🌟 HAY FOR THE HAVEN! 🌟

One Bale. One Horse. One Month at a Time.

For just $12 a month, you can sponsor one bale of hay for a rescued horse at Starlight Haven Equine Rescue.

That’s it. Twelve dollars.

But imagine what happens when 100 people say YES.

That’s 100 bales of hay sponsored EVERY MONTH. 🌾

And we’re making it personal!

❤️ Choose a horse to support.
🐴 Follow their journey through special updates.
🌾 Watch their monthly hay sponsorship goal fill up.
✨ Know that you’re helping provide something they depend on every single day.

We’re looking for our very first Founding Hay Heroes — people willing to make a small monthly commitment that creates a lasting impact.

These horses have already survived so much.

Let’s make sure their future is filled with everything they deserve.
