Many of Meggin & Shane’s family are decorated military (WWII, Vietnam, Afghanistan) and Meggin’s brother is a police Captain and SWAT Commander. So, both Shane and Meggin understand the sacrifices made by these patriots, even though they have never served themselves. The plan was always to start the foundation after Shane sold SMD (a company he co-founded with Scott Mondore). Shane and Scott sold
the company in 2019 – at that point Shane and Meggin got serious with the foundation. Shane and Meggin would build the lodge and supporting infrastructure with their own funding. Once the doors open, Patriot Hill Ranch would then accept donations to cover operating expenses. We are thrilled to announce that Patriot Hill Ranch will open its doors the fall of 2023.
