N.C. Wizards AAU 10u Boys Basketball

So proud of our NC Wizards this weekend! 💯🏀🔥
We went into this tournament playing against players that were every bit of 6'1 and 6'2 and honestly looked like 7th and 8th graders, while most of our boys were only around 4 feet tall. Yet our kids never backed down one single time. We fought hard every game this weekend and finished as the second seed going into the semifinals.
At the end of the day all that did was make our team even better, tougher, and more prepared for the future. 💯
We lost in the semifinals, but I can promise you this… we made them earn every second of that win. They continually had to keep putting their starters back in, including players over 6 feet tall, (our kids are 4ft tall) just to compete against our boys that are mainly 3rd and 4th graders. We only have three 5th graders on our team and even have a 2nd grader playing up.
I truly do not even think our kids understand what they accomplished this weekend. Out of the entire division, we finished 3rd overall. We played giants this weekend, but we came out and fought like Goliath 🏀🔥 These NC Wizards showed heart, determination, toughness, and grit all weekend long and left everything they had on that court.
I promise you people at that tournament will be talking about the NC Wizards for a long time. Beyond proud of this team for never backing down and continuing to fight no matter what was put in front of them.

🏀🔥 TOURNAMENT READY 🔥🏀
The schedule is officially out for this weekend’s NC May HoopFest and it is time to LOCK IN! 💯
NC Wizards Fifth Grade will play Saturday at: ⏰ 3:30 PM — Players need to be there by 3:00 PM ⏰ 6:00 PM — Players need to be there by 5:30 PM
Sunday game times will depend on Saturday pool play, so everyone must be prepared and available for all potential Sunday times listed on the flyer. Players will need to arrive 30 minutes before whatever scheduled game time we receive on Sunday.
🚨 Players need to arrive 30 minutes BEFORE scheduled game time ready to warm up, focused, and prepared to compete.
Please make sure players bring: ✅ Nike socks
This is a big tournament with tough competition. We need energy, effort, teamwork, and heart all weekend long. Let’s show up and show out! 🏀🔥💯

What a GREAT weekend for the NC Wizards Basketball family! 🏀🔥💯
Our teams left it ALL on the court this weekend. We worked hard, fought hard, and battled through three tough games. Every player showed heart, determination, and toughness from start to finish.
We are proud to say our 10U, 13U, and 14U NC Wizards teams ALL brought home championship wins this weekend! 🏆💙💛
So incredibly proud of our players, coaches, and families for everything we accomplished together this weekend. The hard work, dedication, and sacrifice are paying off.

If your shot isn’t consistent… it’s time to go back to the basics 💯
The laying down shooting drill is one of the BEST ways to build perfect form from the ground up. No legs. No distractions. Just YOU and your release.
👉 HOW TO DO IT:
Lay flat on your back
Shoot the ball straight up in the air
Focus on your elbow placement + wrist snap
Catch it clean and repeat
👉 WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON:
✔️ Proper hand placement
✔️ Straight release every time
✔️ Backspin control
✔️ Follow-through (hold that gooseneck 🖐️)

Yesterday was BIG for our 10U NC Wizards 🏆🔥🏀
But this is bigger than just a championship… this is about THESE KIDS 💯
We’ve been OUTSIDE grinding in that heat… no gym, no shortcuts… just WORK.
And still—they showed up EVERY DAY.
Some of these kids are giving everything they have with very little.
Some don’t even have the right shoes… and still step on that court and give it ALL ❤️🏀
Yesterday they didn’t just win… they EARNED it.
They played with HEART.
They played for EACH OTHER.
They played like they had something to prove—and they did 💪
This program is about more than basketball… it’s about giving these kids a chance, structure, and something positive to be a part of.
