Lenoir County Child Support Order for Arrest

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Civil Division is continuing its weekly effort to highlight individuals with active Orders for Arrest related to child support.

Each week, we will feature five individuals from the current list of active child support Orders for Arrest. The full list of individuals with active orders will be provided in the comments.
These posts are intended to help locate individuals with outstanding child support obligations and encourage them to resolve their active orders.

Moore was taken into custody in Pitt County.

The Kinston Police Department is assisting Lenoir County ABC Police in locating 30-year-old Deshawn Moore of Jones County. Moore is wanted in connection with the assault of a 63-year-old ABC store clerk that occurred on March 11, 2026. Moore is known to frequent the Kinston area and may still be nearby.

UPDATE: Shamiya Cannon

On February 9, 2026, Shamiya Cannon turned herself in and was taken into custody. She is currently being held in the Lenoir County Jail without bond due to being on pre-trial release at the time of this incident.

As a reminder, this post was originally published as a wanted person alert. It has now been updated to reflect her arrest.

Wanted for Hit and Run

KPD officers have obtained arrest warrants for Shamiya Cannon, 27, of Lenoir County, in connection to a Hit & Run that occurred on January 30, 2026, in the area of Laroque Avenue.
