Meet Johnny!

A proud graduate of Kinston High School and Auburn University, Johnny has built a successful career in agribusiness and currently works as a Crop Consultant at Nutrien Ag Solutions. His strong work ethic keeps him busy—just the way he likes it!
Beyond his career, Johnny is a dedicated family man. He and his wife, Judy, have been happily married for 55 years, raising three sons and enjoying time with their six grandchildren. When he’s not working, he’s most likely on a road trip to somewhere exciting with Judy by his side!

Johnny is a natural leader who never meets a stranger. He loves getting to know others and hearing about their lives. He’s spent years serving his community through organizations like the Kinston Young and Adult Farmers and the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association. Now, he’s ready to bring that same dedication to the CEC Board of Trustees—advocating for members and making sure your voice is heard.

A big thank you to Covington Electric Cooperative, Inc. and their incredible team for working tirelessly during this unexpected snowstorm. Your hard work to keep the power on and ensure the safety of our community doesn’t go unnoticed. We truly appreciate your dedication, even in the toughest conditions. After 24 hours we have not yet lost power in Ino! My wife and I have enjoyed watching the snow, and most importantly our warm home. Stay safe out there, and thank you for all that you do! 💙❄️

Welcome to Johnny’s page! As a lifelong resident of Kinston, with a combined 63 years in the community, and a Covington Electric Co. customer for 45 years, Johnny strongly believes in their mission and values.

He has chosen this time to run for the CEC board because he believes in the importance of open COMMUNICATION and TRANSPARENCY. As a member of the CEC board he will be dedicated to making sure members’ voices are heard and ensuring that the co-op’s goals and vision are clearly shared with the community.
