Congratulations to the 2026 Michael McDermott Memorial Foundation Scholarship recipients: Nicola Cespe, Matthew Langino, and Madison Squillacioti.

These outstanding Kings Park students exemplify the values Mike lived by: character, hard work, dedication, leadership, and respect. Their commitment to their families, education, and athletics (in that order) earned them this scholarship, which will help support their continued educational journeys. It is an honor and a privilege for our family to recognize these students in memory of our brother, Coach Michael McDermott.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who donates, purchases merchandise, attends fundraising events, and supports our foundation throughout the year. Every dollar raised is reinvested directly into our community through these annual scholarships.

The generosity of the Kings Park/Smithtown communities continues to inspire us. Your support allows us to give back in Mike’s name and ensure that his legacy lives on through the achievements of these remarkable young student athletes. ⛳️ Join us for the 1st Annual Michael McDermott Memorial Foundation Golf Outing on Monday, July 6th at Middle Island Country Club!

Enjoy a full day of golf, great food, on-course contests, refreshments, and camaraderie while supporting the mission of honoring Mike’s memory and giving back to our community.

Not a golfer? No problem! Non-golfers are welcome to join us for our early dinner buffet and open bar beginning at 1:00 PM.

We look forward to spending the day with family, friends, and supporters as we celebrate Mike’s life and make a meaningful impact together 🧡💙

Happy Giving Tuesday 💙 Today, we honor Mike by giving back to the community he loved. The Michael McDermott Memorial Foundation was created to carry forward his spirit - one of kindness, generosity, and lifting others up.
Through scholarships for Kings Park student-athletes and support for local families, we strive to keep Mike’s legacy alive by showing up for others, just like he always did.
