Today seems to be chicken rescue day, I received this lil lady in pretty rough shape, found in a yard assumingly abandoned by a previous neighbor.

She has a tough road ahead but she found a safe place to recover.(I'm fashioning a harness for her.)

Later I'll be helping another bird that had a injury that caused her to lose her place in the pecking order(flock life be like that 😔).

Glad to be able to help the most helpless.

🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION! FREE Spay/Neuter Clinic –
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & SHARE! 🐾

First, we want to say how incredibly grateful we are for the overwhelming response and shares on our original post! We are so excited to bring this life-saving opportunity back to our community in 2026. Because of your amazing support, we are also happy to share that we have TWO additional FREE clinics planned for 2026—one in APRIL and one in SEPTEMBER (exact dates and locations will be announced later).

Although this clinic is FREE to our community, it is not free for us to host. Each clinic costs tens of thousands of dollars and is made possible only through the generous donations of our supporters and our ongoing fundraising efforts. These clinics take months of planning, and we are proud to work alongside the Animal Balance staff, supported by an incredible team of unpaid local volunteers. These volunteers donate long hours of hard work purely out of compassion for animals and a desire to reduce pet overpopulation. We are deeply thankful for every one of them. ❤️

Due to the high volume of shares and questions, here are answers to our most frequently asked questions:

✅ This clinic will be open to Mohave County residents and Needles, Laughlin residents (Clark County) can get vouchers from Hearts Alive Village in North Las Vegas to cover costs
✅ Dogs/puppies and cats/kittens only
✅ Limit of TWO pets per household
✅ Space is limited to 200 pets total over each three-day clinic
✅ Dogs over 90 lbs. CANNOT be accepted for a mobile clinic (but owners may still apply for vouchers)
✅ Domestic pets only – no feral or community cats (separate programs exist for those animals)
✅ Registration details will be posted on January 1, 2026, on our page
