Had a fantastic time serving up hot cakes to all the families out attending the Idaho Fish and Game Magic Valley free fishing day! UDA member Vince Potts cooked up something like 400 pancakes that morning! Great seeing our members reeling in fish and getting those memories made with their kids. June Event Announcement! We will be joining the Idaho Fish and Game Magic Valley for their annual Free Idaho Fishing Day, June 13th at Riley Pond in Hagerman! The UDA will be serving up pancakes starting at 9 a.m., the Idaho Fish and Game will have their trailer full of rods and tackle for those who need it and have prizes for raffle this year! Last month MVMX-Magic Valley MX generously opened the gates for the UDA to come out and enjoy a sport so many of us local Southern Idaho guys love and enjoy, Motocross! We got to see some kids tear it up, without tearing themselves up to bad in the process. Great times!

Quick info for today's event. When you get to the track, the MVMX crew will also have you sign a waiver for entry. Make sure to mention you are there for the United Dads of America event. Once in, continue straight towards the p*ewee track on the back of the property. We will have a tent set up back there with our banner.

May Event Announcement! Our local motocross track and fellow non-profit MVMX-Magic Valley MX has invited the UDA members to come out Saturday May 16th to watch the practice rounds for the races on Sunday at no cost! We will also have a few p*e wee i.e. pw50 bikes and helmets available for kids to try if they would like to. You will need to fill out liability waivers for both viewing and riding. We will be set up by 10 a.m., viewers can watch as long as they would like and riders will have bikes available for 2 hours. We will serve up hotdogs as long as they last for lunch! Come support our local track, these guys put an insane amount of hard work into maintaining and operating it for our community.

This weekend we got out and led our kids by teaching them the importance of community service and respecting our great state and the land we are blessed to call home by keeping it clean. The turn out was great, we collected over 50 lbs. of plastic and waste from Dierkes Lake and its surrounding trails. Justin Plante and his son were awarded the prize for the heaviest bag weighing in at over 12 lbs.! A great lesson was taught in that moment as Justin's son volunteered to redistribute the prizes to those around him, a true act of kindness and selflessness for our kids and us as fathers to learn from. Next event will be posted this week!

Little information for our event tomorrow, we will have a UDA member at the pay station with vouchers for entrance, make your way to Dierkes Lake and meet in the Northwest corner of the parking lot in the dirt area. We will start our hike there and head North following the loop in the picture. The hike will start at 10:15 and we hope to be back to the lot by 11:30 to weigh bags, have a hot dog and give the winner their prize! Gonna be a great time! Want to thank Twin Falls Parks and Rec again for the entry vouchers and trash bags as well as Sportsman's Warehouse for the kind donation of prizes and Falls Brand for the all Beef Franks!
