The Sensory Grain Bin is still very much in the planning stages — not a finished space yet, not even under construction. But every conversation, every plan, and every donated hour moves us closer to creating a real, year-round resource for Western Nebraska.

A big shoutout to the Graff family for their generous support in helping get this project off the ground — your contribution is helping lay the groundwork for something lasting in our community.

Caregiving is a full-time job most people never clock out of. If you've been running on empty, a quieter afternoon here might be exactly what your whole family needs — not just the person you're caring for. Reach out and we'll talk through what that could look like: https://weeshiremains.org/

Purcie may be small, but her presence fills a room. She's curious, persistent, and always convinced there's an apple somewhere nearby. Guests often tell us she's the first face they remember from a visit. Who else should we introduce you to?

15 buckets left. Then 5. Then the last one — in slow motion, because some moments deserve it. 🪣 Our ‘planting dirt’ phase is officially done. Next up: irrigation, then the blueberries we’ve been keeping alive for this exact moment. Sugar Shack run earned. 🍦

WeeShire Mains didn't start as a business plan. It started as a question: could the calming, sensory experiences helping our own family happen right here, on our own land? That question turned into a lot of fencing, a lot of trial and error, and a farm that now welcomes families asking the same question we once did. If that's you, we'd love to talk.

One seed. One snuggle. One safe interaction. One person who feels understood.

Community change is often built from small, repeatable acts of care. That is how WeeShire is growing—with real work, generous neighbors and a belief that everyone deserves a place to breathe, grow and connect.

If this mission matters to you, follow along and invite one friend to join us.

Some of the best work does not have to happen under fluorescent lights.

WeeShire collaborates with professionals and agencies to create nature-based opportunities for connection, skill-building and supportive animal interaction. The farm can become an 'outdoor office' where engagement feels more natural and less clinical.

WeeShire began with one family asking a practical question: Could the calming, sensory experiences helping our children happen right here on our land?

That question grew into a nonprofit vision serving neurodiverse families, people navigating brain injury, caregivers and community partners. The dream became bigger because the need was bigger.
