🏆 THE BELT HAS A NEW HOME.

Saturday brought the Pond Hoppers back to the water for some friendly competition, plenty of trash talk, and a reminder of why these tournaments have always been about more than who catches the biggest fish.

The heat was brutal. The bite made everyone work for it. But Steamy Ray Vaughn got it done and walked away our new Bass Champion. 🎣🏆

More importantly, it was just good having everyone back together again.

And we’re only getting started.

They have names.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Deontre Huey.
Warrant Officer 1 Seth Olmstead.

Two Soldiers. Two Army aviators. Two families whose lives changed forever Wednesday afternoon.

As a community with deep roots at Fort Hood, we mourn alongside their families, friends, fellow Soldiers, and the 1st Cavalry Division.

May we remember them not simply as the two pilots lost in an Apache crash near Salado, but by their names.

Take a moment and join us and say their names:
CW2 Deontre Huey.
WO1 Seth Olmstead.

Rest easy, Troopers. 🇺🇸

Our Fort Hood community is hurting tonight.

Two Soldiers lost their lives today in an Apache helicopter crash near Salado.

Our thoughts are with their families, friends, fellow Soldiers, and everyone across our community feeling this loss.

There are times when this community comes together for the outdoors, for friendship, and for a little escape from everything else.

Tonight, we simply come together for them.

Rest easy, Troopers. 🇺🇸

“It was a violent crash,” said Cliff Coleman with the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
