Children's Therapy Center Children's Therapy Center is on a mission to maximize the potential of children with disabilities. We begin by celebrating where each child is today.

What started as a tiny therapy program in 1979 has grown into the largest and most comprehensive independent nonprofit pediatric therapy program in the state. We provide unsurpassed services for thousands of children with developmental delays and disabilities each year. Then, together with families, we work toward who that child can become. We provide:

Comprehensive Evaluations
Physical Therapy

Occupational Therapy
Speech-Language Therapy
Oral Motor/Feeding Therapy
Aquatic Therapy
Early Childhood Special Education
Family Resources Coordination
Social Work
Specialized Groups
Parent Education and Support

What if the way we talked about autism changed the way we understood it?

“Children of the stars.”
“In their own time and space.”

These phrases go beyond translation. They reflect the understanding that every child experiences the world in their own way, on their own timeline, with their own strengths.

While April brings awareness, that understanding doesn’t stop there.

At Children’s Therapy Center, we accept, celebrate, and support developmental differences every single day through therapy, family support, and inclusive programs.

This GiveBIG, you can be part of that everyday impact.

A monthly gift of $20 helps create more possibility for children and families who need it most, ensuring they have access to the care, tools, and support they need to thrive. 💙

At On The Rise, we had the opportunity to hear from an incredible group of voices. From our newest board member to professionals dedicated to supporting children with disabilities.

While their experiences and roles may differ, one message came through clearly in every conversation:

Community matters.

Access to resources matters.
Support matters.
And when people come together with intention, real impact happens.

We’re grateful to be surrounded by individuals who are committed to uplifting families and creating stronger, more connected communities.

This is what it looks like when we rise together 💙

Some of the most meaningful impact happens when innovation is rooted in care, SPIO Dynamic Compression Orthoses was born from exactly that kind of collaboration💙

SPIO designs custom compression garments, known as Stabilizing Pressure Input Orthoses, that apply targeted pressure to support stability, body awareness, and movement. For many children, that added support can mean greater mobility, improved posture, and increased independence in everyday life.

What makes this work especially meaningful is how it began.

SPIO was founded by Nancy Hylton a licensed PT, who worked alongside a CTC momma whose child was receiving services. Together they created the first garments, sewn by hand, with the goal of helping one child move more freely.

Today, that same spirit of innovation and partnership continues to support children and families in powerful ways.

We’re incredibly grateful to Nancy, the families who helped shape this work, and the SPIO team for their continued impact; not just for On The Rise🎉, but in the progress and potential they help unlock every day.

Because of efforts like this, our impact doesn’t stop at one event, it continues to grow.

Join us at On The Rise and see how this work comes to life. This is a free community event, and we’d love to have you there!

Strong communities are built when organizations come together with a shared purpose.

For generations, the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle has been a leader in advancing equity, access, and opportunity for families across our region.

At Children’s Therapy Center, we see every day how important that support is because when families are connected to the right resources, children are better able to reach their milestones and thrive.

That’s why we’re so grateful to have Seattle Urban League as a sponsor of On The Rise🎉

Their commitment to strengthening communities aligns deeply with our mission, and together, that impact reaches even further.

We’re honored to stand alongside partners who are helping create brighter futures for the families we serve 💙

Join us at On The Rise🎉 and experience the impact of partnerships like this firsthand. This is a free community event, and we’d love to have you there.

Every day at Children’s Therapy Center, families walk through our doors looking for answers, support, and hope for their child’s future.

What many don’t see is everything working behind the scenes to make those moments possible.

From secure systems to seamless communication, the foundation that supports our work has to be strong, reliable, and ready. Because when families need us, there’s no room for delays.

That’s where Praece Consulting comes in.

Not only are they a generous sponsor of our upcoming On The Rise event🎉, but they are also the trusted IT partner helping power our day-to-day operations. Their expertise keeps our systems running smoothly so our team can stay focused on what matters most, supporting children and their development.

Because when the infrastructure is strong, the impact can be even stronger.

We’re incredibly grateful to Praece for investing in both our mission and the work behind the scenes that makes it all possible 💙

Join us at On The Rise to see the impact of partnerships like this in action. This is a free community event, and we’d love to have you there.

Peek-a-boo is more than a game, it’s how children learn 💙
Behind every laugh and “Where did you go?” moment, children are building connection, communication, memory, and trust.
These small moments are doing big work for development, and are often some of a child’s favorite ways to connect with you.
Try it at home and see what they can learn ✨
