Every Tuesday, hope enters the detention center 💙.

Through World Relief Western Washington’s Detention Ministry, we partner with local churches to provide weekly worship services at the detention center in Tacoma.

Week after week, we are witnessing people from different nations choose to follow Jesus and baptisms continue to be a powerful part of these gatherings.

We’re grateful for every church, volunteer, and ministry partner helping make this possible.

“Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

A summer of laughter, learning, friendship, and belonging. 💙

This summer, kids in Pierce County had the opportunity to play, learn, create memories, and simply enjoy being kids at our Kids Camp.

But moments like these don’t happen alone.

To every church, volunteer, partner, and person who gave their time, energy, resources, and heart to make this camp possible: thank you.

Your partnership helped create a space where children could feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated—and where families could experience what community looks like when we come together.

This video is for you. 💙

Join us in celebrating and thanking the incredible churches and community members who helped make this summer possible.

This is what faith in action looks like. 💙

Through six worship services, our volunteers had the privilege of walking alongside people at a local detention center, where 24 individuals made the decision to follow Jesus.

One volunteer also connected with a family outside of the services, creating another meaningful moment of faith and encouragement.

We’re grateful for this team and the way they continue to show up with compassion, presence, and hope.

Join us in celebrating what God is doing through our volunteers and communities.

For families forced to leave everything behind, rebuilding means more than starting over. It means finding safety, stability, opportunity, and a community where they can belong.

A day in the park can become a place to belong. 💙

At our Family Day in the Park in Whatcom County, World Relief Western Washington participants and their families came together across cultures and nationalities to share lunch, play, laugh, and enjoy time in community.

Moments like these help turn a new place into a place of connection, friendship, and welcome.
