Since January, I’ve been going back and forth with various agencies regarding roughly $8,000 in emergency room and ambulance bills (below is just one example). I’m not disputing them so much as trying to get someone to explain WHY certain things are coded certain ways, as it affects the charge, before I fork over all this cash. It is an arduous and time consuming task, but I’m not paying until I understand.
And you know what I’ve discovered? No one knows anything. Six months later and I’m no closer to answers. Apparently, if an insurance company deems it, it is so. Why are private insurance companies dictating our health care costs - seems a wee bit of a conflict of interest 🤔
If you need help but don’t have time to fight, please DM me.❤️
Edit: I haven’t paid and won’t until I get itemised bills
