Hi Members!

This year, since July 4 falls on a Saturday, the Kent Recycling Center will be closed and there will be no garbage drop-off on that day.

This Saturday, May 16, the Town of Kent will be hosting a paper shredding and E-waste drop-off event for Kent residents from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Kent Town Hall, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent Lakes, NY.

Please note that when submitting paper for shredding, staples are permitted, however, binder covers, cardboard, binder clips and rubber bands must be removed.

Tomorrow, February 28, the parking at KRC is still limited due to the recent heavy snowfall. So we would appreciate it if you would dispose of your recycling in a timely manner so parking will be available for all members. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.

Tomorrow, February 25, the recycling center will be open normal hours, however, please note that there will be limited parking due to the amount of snow that we received. Any volunteers for shoveling will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and stay warm and safe

Please take note of our holiday hours:

Wednesday, December 24, 2025 Kent Recycling Center will be CLOSED. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, December 27.

Wednesday, December 31, 2025 Kent Recycling Center will be open for RECYCLING ONLY. Drop-off items will NOT be accepted. Only the main recycling building will be open.
