When you host an exchange student, you are building peace. You are impacting the life of a young person, a young person who has a family worrying about him/her from across the ocean. You become part of an international "village" helping to raise a child! Here is one such student waiting to find out where his "village" will extend:
David from Germany will be 15 on arrival and in the 10th grade this fall. David is bilingual in German and French. About David , “he says I am very open to new experiences and I am eager to learn about your culture. It will be very important for me to live in a loving and friendly environment.”. David plays basketball and tennis in Germany and hopes to be able to play both sports here.David is also a tennis.player. David also enjoys fishing and computers., David says he is a big sports fan.. His mother describes him this way: “I know David as a balanced and joyful person, David is a
music enthusiast and often uses his free time to hear music. Despite a big workload in school David plays tennis and basketball year around. He still finds time to meet his friends usually during
the weekend.
His open and sociable character has enabled him to have many friends, and he enjoys very much going out with them.”
To learn more about hosting David, or hosting in general, pm me or email me at [email protected].

Dear Families, ACs, and CHI students,
For the rest of the month of May we're going to have an Everyone Asks Campaign! I'm asking all of you: this and next year's host families, local coordinators, and our amazing students to reach out to those in your community and ask them: Would your family host an exchange student?

Do you have friends that think that the exchange experience seemed fun and awesome? Ask them!. Please contact me with information for any interested friends that we can follow up with. If someone you refer hosts we will donate 100 dollars to a non-profit or community organization of your choosing (a great opportunity to support your school's PTSA and help create opportunities for your communities students or to support your local food bank). I would love to see the program grow in the communities that we've had students in this year. I've been talking routinely with our schools counselors throughout the year and our kids have done an amazing job as students.
