YPE-TC is a casual group of energy industry professionals who meet monthly/bi-monthly for social networking and insight into the various facets of the energy industry in Tri-Cities. Many energy groups exist for niche specialties in our region, but now with YPE, all groups are welcome to network with others in the energy sector to expand understanding and create a unified voice for issues that con
cern our education, careers, and community future. These issues will vary from policies in Olympia to the inner workplace; history and future plans with Hanford; the growing movement of cleaner energy generation; local and regional energy leaders and much more that will affect every YPE in the area regardless of specialty. Young Professionals in Energy is a non-profit energy industry networking organization with over 20,000 members worldwide. YPE is dedicated to providing a forum for networking and career development for professionals in the global energy industry. YPE runs a year-round calendar of events in over 20 chapters around the world. Now, the Pacific Northwest is part of this growing network via its own growing hub for energy, Tri-Cities, WA. YPE Tri-Cities is focused on bringing to light the concerns of local and regional young professionals while looking to those more established in the energy industry for guidance and insight to the ever-changing landscape of the future of energy. YPE is meant to be inclusive of all technology companies, manufacturers, installers and other professionals whose work touches the energy sector in some way. With an organized forum, common issues of the Pacific NW across all energy industries will be addressed and encouraged in an effort to not only retain young professionals, but encourage growth. We are looking for young professionals who are interested in networking and developing their skills from a variety of energy industries. We are also looking for companies and individuals who would like to sponsor events and/or provide resources for speaking events, tours, and other YPE-TC ventures.
