Murphy, MBA, MS Forensic Psychology, is working on her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology with Trauma and Disaster Relief Specialization with a graduation date of 2024. Before Redemption Ridge, I worked in the field of sex/human trafficking for over 6 years with extensive hands-on, in-the-trenches work experience in street culture, the 4 forms of homelessness (chronic, episodic, transitional, and

hidden), and the role of culture in substance use and abuse as well as all the trauma that is attached. Working in human trafficking was a true calling; it allowed me to show what was missing. Survivors and victims were just surviving. They longed for more than just survival. Redemption Ridge is tearing down the walls of cultural intergenerational trauma.

Trauma doesn't always have a voice. But healing doesn't need one.

At Redemption Ridge, I've seen horses teach kids what it feels like to be trusted. Goats help quiet the noise of anxiety. Parrots bring out laughter from people who forgot they could.

Animal-assisted therapy meets you where words can't go — in the nervous system, in the body, in the quiet moments where real healing begins.

If anxiety, depression, or trauma is holding you or your child back, we're here. Sliding scale fees. Real results. A waitlist worth joining.

Being near a horse can regulate your nervous system in under 3 minutes.

Horses don't just sense your stress. They respond to it. Their heartbeat naturally synchronizes with yours and then gently brings it back down. Researchers call this co-regulation. We call it what happens every single day at Redemption Ridge-AAT.

This is why animal-assisted therapy reaches places that traditional talk therapy often can't. The body heals first. The words come later.

If you know a young person who is stuck, shut down, or struggling to feel safe, we would love to connect. Sliding scale fees available. DM us or visit r-r.services

When words feel too heavy to carry, sometimes all it takes is the quiet presence of a horse, a goat, or a rabbit to remind your nervous system that you're safe.

I'm Dr. Murphy, and for the past three years I've watched something remarkable happen here at Redemption Ridge. Young people who came in shut down, frozen, or carrying years of pain they didn't know how to put into words — they start to open up. Not because I said the right thing in a session. But because a horse stood still and let them breathe. Because a goat nudged their hand and made them laugh for the first time in months.

Animal-assisted therapy works because trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. Our horses, goats, parrots, rabbits, and dogs don't judge. They don't rush. They meet people exactly where they are.

If you or someone you love is struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or the weight of complex trauma — there is another way through. We work with youth and adults ages 6 to 36, and we offer sliding scale fees because healing shouldn't have a price tag that keeps people out.

We're based in Richland, WA and serve families across the Pacific Northwest.

Learn more or reach out at r-r.services — we'd be honored to be part of your healing journey.
