There is something quietly powerful about what happens when a child and a horse simply share space together.

Equine therapy isn't about riding lessons — it's about healing. Horses are remarkably sensitive animals who respond to emotion in real time. For youth carrying the weight of trauma, that honest, non-judgmental presence can unlock something no office or clipboard ever could.

Through equine-assisted therapy at Redemption Ridge-AAT, children learn to:
- Regulate their nervous system through the rhythm of a horse's breath and movement
- Build trust — with an animal, and slowly, with themselves
- Develop confidence, emotional awareness, and a sense of safety in their own bodies

Our horses don't ask for perfection. They just show up — and that changes everything.
