Duplin Rotary Club was honored to have prospective Eagle Scout, Miller Ludlum, speak about his Eagle Project: a Disaster Relief Trailer to provide food and supplies to those in need during emergencies.
Miller shared this his family was impacted by hurricane flooding and benefitted from the help of others. He and his family, in turn, provided much help to those in western NC who were recently impacted by flooding.
Miller has nearly reached his financial goal for purchasing the trailer and supplies, and Duplin Rotary Club was happy to contribute towards his efforts.

Our Student of the Month for February is Shamya Johnson from James Kenan High School. She is a Senior Beta Club member in the top-10 academically, student body Vice-President, and she played basketball for her first three years of high school. North Duplin High School Senior, Kaniel Guo, was selected as the Duplin Rotary Student of the Month. He is a 3-sport athlete who excels academically and was recently admitted to UNC-Chapel Hill. When he is not studying or playing sports, Kaniel works at Yummy Orient, his family’s restaurant in Mount Olive. Congratulations and Best Wishes Kaniel!

Duplin Rotarian Amy Price presented a check from Duplin Rotary to representatives of Duplin Partnership for Children recently. The Partnership lost everything in a recent fire, but they are doing everything possible to rebound and continue to help the many children and families who rely on them.
