Kenai River Freeze-up Classic tickets sales for the February 15, 2025 drawing are launching tonight at the Kenai Peninsula Beer Festival!

After today they can be purchased by contacting a Kenai Rotary Club or Soldotna Rotary Club member,
Facebook messenger, or calling 907-740-3501.

Kenai River Freeze-Up Classic (KFC) Rules:

Tickets:
You must be 18 years or older to purchase ticket.
A guess that the river will freeze cost $5
A guess that the river will not freeze cost $5

Rotarians and our partners will be selling tickets from August 10, 2024 - January 31, 2025. All of your tickets must legibly contain your name and one of the contact options of; phone, address, and/or email. All sales must be completed in Alaska. The seller will give the purchaser the ticket and the seller will keep the stub. Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified as soon as possible of their winnings. Winners must claim their prizes by March 31, 2025. If prizes are not claimed they will be used for Soldotna and Kenai Rotary projects.

There are currently 5,000 tickets available but we reserve the right to print and sell more tickets if we see the need. KFC is not responsible for misdirected, lost, late, or delayed entries. Tickets that have been reported stolen to the police will not be eligible to when the freeze-up classic.

Prize:
The specified location is north of The River Raven Sanctuary Lodge dock, no closer than 25ft and no further than 125ft from shore/ordinary high water. Frozen or Not Frozen will be determined on the morning of February 15, 2025 by Central Emergency Services (CES). Frozen will be determined if CES determines that it would be safe enough to deploy the tripod for the Kenai River Ice Classic.

If the river is determined frozen at the specified location a grand prize winner of 50% of the proceeds will be drawn from all of the frozen ticket stubs. A winner for the $100 prize will also be drawn from the not frozen ticket stubs.

If the river is determined not frozen at the specified location a grand prize winner of 50% of the proceeds will be drawn from all of the not frozen ticket stubs. A winner for the $100 prize will also be drawn from the frozen ticket stubs.

Thank you to Central Emergency Services for coming out to the river yesterday and determining the river frozen and to the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce for letting hold our drawing Frozen RiverFest 2024. The winner of $5,000 is Dick Peck and the winner of $100 is Brendan Shiflea.
