You are loved, wanted and needed here, just as you are!

Pride is su***de prevention. Pride is mental health awareness. 🌈
By celebrating pride and sharing about LGBTQ+ experiences, it shows others they’re not alone and that they matter here. Let's support each other and work toward a future where everyone feels safe, seen and valued.

Mental health is just as important as physical health.

You can’t have one without the other. So why the stigma around it? Let’s make talking about mental health as normal as going to the doctor or hitting the gym.

Mental health struggles aren't "just in your head" → they're real
Feeling your emotions isn’t "dramatic" → it’s healthy
Asking for help isn’t "weak" → it's strong

What's in your resilience toolbox? Think of these "tools" as the things that help you cope when something stressful or challenging happens.

Resilience helps us navigate those situations and find ways to move forward—and it’s a skill you can build to support your mental health, relationships and overall well-being. So use those resilience tools!

It's Mental Health Action Day! Take action for your family & friends by learning to A.S.K. 👇

ACKNOWLEDGE: Create a supportive space by letting them know you’re here for them.
SUPPORT: Validate their feelings and ask what they need.
KEEP IN TOUCH: Check in regularly to show you care.

Think of it like the "stop, drop and roll" of mental health – an easy way to remember how to support the people you care about!

A.S.K. was created by Active Minds & MTV so everyone can feel confident helping a friend or loved one.

Stigma grows in silence. Support begins with community and sharing our stories.

Stories have the power to remove mental health stigma. Everyone’s experience matters, and by opening up, we remind each other that no one is alone.

There are Zero Reasons Why we can't normalize having open conversations about mental health! Share your story or why you care about mental health this Mental Health Month at zeroreasonswhy.org/share-your-story

For Mental Health Month, we asked our Teen Council members: "What does a GOOD day look like for you?" Sky shared…

📚 “I love reading, especially mystery and romance. It’s so calming and a great escape from any stress in my life!”

💿 “I love listening to music, especially if I’m working on school work or hanging out with friends. I recently got Noah Kahan's new album for my CD player.”

✍️ “Every now and again I sit down and just draw something because it helps my day, to be able to focus solely on something I love and perfecting it to my vision.”

🧶 “I do a craft every day. Some days I work on the same craft, others it’s completely new ones. But doing them makes me so happy because I always end up with something I love and appreciate!”

What makes a good day for you? Tell us in the comments!

Meet Lara, one of our 2026 scholarship recipients. A Spring Hill High senior, Lara is planning to attend Grand Valley State University in Michigan and hopes to pursue pediatric nursing with a minor in social work.

As a Teen Council member, Lara has championed mental health through a variety of advocacy, outreach and awareness efforts, and her commitment to the Campaign has been so valuable. Reflecting on her experience, she shared:

"The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from Zero Reasons Why is to get out of your comfort zone. You will never grow as a person or advocate unless you push yourself. I didn’t want to speak on my first panel but someone trusted that I would do amazing and helped me realize my own potential. If that hadn't happened, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and definitely wouldn’t be speaking about my own journey in front of people all of the time.”

Congratulations, Lara, and good luck!!

Meet Shubra, one of our 2026 scholarship recipients. A senior at Shawnee Mission East, Shubra is planning to pursue a pharmaceutical degree at The University of Kansas and eventually wants to pursue pharmaceutical research & development.

As a Teen Council Member, Shubra has been a powerful voice for teen mental health and we are so grateful for her dedication to the Campaign. Reflecting on her experience, she shared:

"The most valuable lesson I learned from my involvement with Zero Reasons Why is that my voice and my experiences matter. For a very long time I had kept silent about my personal experiences with mental health struggles, but through Zero Reasons Why—and specifically Advocacy Day—I realized that telling my story helped catalyze the creation and furthering of mental health work throughout the state.”

Congratulations, Shubra, and good luck!!
