Hello everyone, thank you all for being patient. We wanted to post a video update last week, but we all came down with a summer cold. Thankfully we’re all starting to feel better! We will still post a video update once we aren’t coughing, but for now we wanted to let everyone know the great news!!!

Please meet the newest member of our family and Cayden’s future service dog!!

He is a Labrador and the sweetest boy! We will go over more detail on why we ended up going this route in our video. Also we aren’t going to publicly announce the puppies name, this is so when the puppy is working with Cayden he can focus on his work and not be distracted if someone says his name.
We want to once again thank all who donated to and shared our fundraiser! Without each of you this wouldn’t have happened!! Thank you all so very much!!
So next step with the puppy will be training, this of course will take time but we’d love to keep everyone updated on this journey! Please stay tuned for our updates and videos 💕🐕‍🦺

If you’ve ever heard your child recite a favorite movie scene or a YouTube clip word-for-word, you’ve witnessed Scripting in action!

While it might seem like they are just "replaying" media, scripting is actually a powerful tool. For many autistic individuals, it serves as a way to communicate complex feelings, find comfort in familiar rhythms, or self-regulate during a busy day. It’s a bridge between their favorite stories and their real-world connections.

The Breakdown:
• What it is: The repetition of phrases or dialogues from media like movies, books, or TV shows.
• Why it happens: It is often a form of communication or self-regulation.
• The Connection: Sometimes called "delayed echolalia," it can happen right after hearing the words or much later.

Understanding scripting helps us see that every word has a purpose, even if it comes from a favorite character!

Ever wondered why some kids start communicating in full movie lines or favorite phrases instead of single words? That is Gestalt Language Processing (GLP)! 🗣️✨

For many autistic individuals, language isn't built one word at a time. Instead, they process language in "chunks" or whole phrases (often called scripts). Over time, they learn to break these big pieces down into smaller units to create their own original sentences.
