We want to introduce a place where kids can enjoy themselves while also providing a social element. Community Consultants would like to introduce a program called Kickbacks. Kickbacks, a member’s only club, will bring the school, students, and parents together. Open daily after school as well as weekends, this should solve the problem of the kids hanging out at the Country Club Plaza. They can com
e listen to music, dance, play games, surf the net, and just all around have a good time. Security will be provided. However, there is a catch. In order to be a member, you have to not only be enrolled, but in good standing with your current school. This is to reward the kids that are putting forth an effort to succeed and just want to have a good time. This also encourages kids because if you want to come party, you have to earn it. A student ID and your latest grade card will be required with each application. Parents are also required to sign in, sign out, as well as, pick up and drop off their kids. Members are not allowed to drive themselves. This is for the member’s safety as well as the community around the school. Children who are escorted by their parents are less likely to bring weapons, fight or do drugs. The kids will encourage the parents to be involved if they themselves, want to have a good time. The program will be managed and directed by John Harris, co-founder of Community Consultants, Latosha Strong, co -founder of Community Consultants, and Ashlea Blue, Director of Community Relations with Community Consultants. Community Consultants is an LLC established in 2013 in an effort to establish a better community by providing community events, financial education, tutoring, and health and fitness awareness.
