40 Heartland Connection Boxes are assembled and will soon be distributed throughout the community.

Thanks to everyone who donated, we raised about half of our $450 goal, and Helping the Heartland proudly covered the rest to ensure all 40 boxes were completed.

Each box represents connection, dignity, and support for our unhoused neighbors. We’re excited to build on this momentum as we plan the next round.

If you would like to purchase a box, please feel free to do so in hopes we can continue to build more for the community! https://square.link/u/sltS8h2M?src=sheet

‼️We’re launching something new to help more people in our community.‼️

Helping the Heartland is introducing Heartland Connection Packs — care packs designed to connect people to help, not just hand out items.

Each Heartland Connection Pack includes:
• Essential, shareable supplies
• A refillable water bottle
• A simple help card with 211 and local Kansas City resources for food, shelter, and medical care

Because supplies and information are often shared, each $25 pack purchase helps connect up to 10 people to local services across the Kansas City metro.

We focus on:
• Dignity-first support
• Smart use of donations
• Real access to help, not empty promises

If you’re looking for a straightforward way to make a meaningful local impact, this is it.

👉 Purchase a Heartland Connection Pack for us to disburse here: https://square.link/u/sltS8h2M

Thank you for helping us shorten the distance between people and help in our community.

*Helping The Heartland will be distributing these products to the community. Purchasing a Pack ensures one is sent to an unhoused community member. You will not receive any items for this purchase.

Had the opportunity to tour the Kansas School for the Blind. What a wonderful mission and extraordinary group of people.

If you have a chance, I highly recommend going by and getting a cup of coffee at the Brailled Bean, I hear Friday mornings is the best time to go and meet some of the students!

We are excited for you all to be a part of our mission to help Kansas City.
