I was tried, convicted & sentenced before even being arrested or questioned. Why does my life not matter?

Living in this white man's world
is not that hard to do.
You'll get along just perfectly,
as long as you're white too.

But if by chance your skin is black,
and your mind and soul as well.
A constant struggle will exist
and make your life here hell!

The white man creates all the laws..
His books are in our schools...
The ruling class, the master race...
The white man makes the rules.

The path the black man follows here,
the white man sets the flow...
We've had a triumph here and there,
but progress has been slow...

Our leaders he eliminates...
Our families he destroys!
Drugs, war, hatred, poverty,
are tactics he employs

For centuries the white man has
in every way he could,
convinced the world that black is bad
and only white is good.

And sadly he has beat us down,
his persistence stole our will.
Divided, brainwashed and confused
each other now we kill.

A judgment day will surely come.
A sight blacks long to see.
Because it seems that only God,
can set Black people free!!

It’s a new day.
It’s a a year.
Have you thought of me?
Have you sent up a prayer??
They say out of sight out of mind.
No one cares until it’s their bloodline.
I’m still here, fighting for my life.
In while in a judicial system that is unfair.
Where my rights and equality doesn’t matter because my skin color isn’t like theirs.
I’m guilty until innocent despite there being a witness who said it WASN’T ME!!
My life doesn’t matter to them.
But does it matter to you?
Would you be seeking justice if I was your son, nephew, cousin or friend.
I would you say oh well, that’s on him & was your hands??
Pray for my Momma, pray for my siblings, pray for my family, and my warriors who has NEVER turned their backs & walked away.
I’m strong with a stronger foundation and I know as long as I have them I’m going to WIN!!

I haven’t forgot about y’all so I hope y’all haven’t forgot about me.
With all the craziness going on in the world I know life can get chaotic.
I haven’t given up, so don’t you either!!
We are going to keep out heads held high and faces lifted toward the sky.
Bigger, better and brighter days are ahead.
Continued thanks to all those who has never let their faith in me waver during this life altering journey.

From now until Christmas I’ll be posting something to put a smile on someone’s face or happiness in their heart during this holiday season.
I know it’s hard for me but I realize it could be harder for someone else.
Pray for me and I’ll pray for you.
We all know that prayer changes things.

The holiday is approaching and I’m saddened that I won’t be there.
I’ve never imagined a Christmas without having my family and those I hold dear near.
When you wake up this Christmas please send me a lil prayer.
Pray that the Lord keeps me and holds me during this most difficult time.
Pray for my mental, physical and emotional health.
Pray for my mother, my sister and my brother.
For our unit will be incomplete without me there.
Trouble don’t last always they say.
And when the sun does shine I’m sure it will be bright.
Just know im keeping my head held high, my faith remains strong and looking towards the light at the end of long, lonely tunnel.

UPDATE:
My son is doing fine. ❤️
He did have surgery, 3 days ago and he didn't have access to his tablet to contact me.
He had an abcess in his mouth.
He said they told him he's glad he got in cause they was surprised he could still breath normal.
His face was swollen that bad.. 😡😠😡😠

First let's talk abt how there's strength in numbers. I appreciate every prayer, and thanks for the kind words

SECOND, if it was that damn bad why didn't yall contact his emergency contact.. !!
I just gotta look at the positive, and be glad it was only due to what started out as a toothache, cause it could've been worse.

Its not to often I say im not ok, this was definitely one of those times. 😳
now i can relax a lil.
Thank you to all who reached out, sent a text, placed a call to the jail & sent out a prayer.
Nothing was unnoticed or unappreciated!!

Good morning, It’s been a few days since a post.
If but if you have time today please flood the phones of the jail that is holding Jaylen to show them that he has a village and people out here that love him, cares for him, will stand up and speak up for him, that advocates for him and that will cause a scene behind him!!

Here’s what has happened…..

Jaylen had a medical emergency and I haven’t heard from him all day yesterday.
He said he been complaining abt a toothache all week, so they been giving him is pain medicine.
Friday he called me said he been crying all day, and his whole face is swollen.
I called up there all day Sunday, got no response, then that night they said he's fine😡🤔.
I finally talk to a few other people at the jail, they keep saying he's ok. And he might be on tablet restriction, that's why he didn't call.
I told them as much pain as he was in it's crazy too think he's just fine now. I don't trust that!!

This ghetto lady gonna say maybe he don't feel like talking today.. I said nah, cause he calls everyday so that's not the case.

His case worker said he's not on restriction, and he's ok. But no one's telling me about his medical condition.
His girlfriend said he told her it hurts 10 times more than when he got shot….
Now all of a sudden a day later he's fine, but he hasn’t called anyone..
WE NEED ANSWERS & WE NEED THEM NOW!!

Jaylen,

On this day of togetherness and thankfulness,
we thank the Lord for blessing us with YOU!!
For being the ones deemed worthy of being fortunate to have you in our lives and a part of this family.
For being the ones chosen to take your hand and guide your towards a path of greatness.
For the opportunity to raise you to be a young man who is respectful, honest, compassionate, caring, understanding, humble, considerate and above all God fearing.
The ability to lead and be your own person and true to thyself is deeply embedded in you.
Our day maybe a lil different today than any other holiday.
We are missing you, your place is set yet your seat is empty.
And that leaves a void that can only be filled by you.
So although we may eat, the food isn’t as delicious.
The desserts, isn’t as sweet.
The smiles, not as bright.
The laughter, not as loud.
A piece of our puzzle is missing and we can’t fully give thanks until this nightmare is over.
And our family is complete.
The holiday season of 2024 is postponed until you Jaylen are home right where you belong!!
