Charlie's House Charlie’s House has a community space for organizations to gather and meet, at no cost. If you need a space for your group to meet, we are happy to have you.

Charlie's House is a not-for-profit organization (501(c)(3)) dedicated to increasing awareness and educating parents and caregivers about common dangers that cause injuries and accidents to children in and around the home. Please call and schedule a day/time that work best for you.

Be sure to…

➡️ Select the correct seat for your child (see link below)

➡️ Install the seat correctly including the belt, tether, etc. (check the manual!)

➡️ ALWAYS use the car seat (no matter how short the drive)

It’s National Immunization Awareness Month!

This month is observed each August in an attempt to encourage Americans to stay up-to-date on routine immunizations.

Vaccinations save 2-3 million lives every year and they are extensively studied and monitored for safety. The risk of a serious adverse reaction is ~1 in 1,000,000.

Have questions? Charlie’s House encourages you to reach out to your child’s pediatrician for their recommendations. Also, state and local health departments often provide free or low-cost immunizations.

August is Drowning Impact Awareness Month. This month aims to raise awareness about and reduce water-related tragedies.

Stay safe by remembering the ABCs of Drowning Prevention:

A - Adult Supervision
Always assign a dedicated, sober, and undistracted “water watcher” to supervise children whenever they are near water.

B - Barriers
Install physical barriers to block unsupervised access to water. Fences and childproof door locks are two good examples.

C - Classes
Learn to swim! Formal swimming lessons significantly reduce the risk of drowning.

Additionally, always keep U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets on hand for inexperienced swimmers.

👒 Wearing a wide-brimmed hat
