The Kansas City Blues Society is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Blues history and music of Kansas City. We provide programming through our Blues In The Schools and Youth Jams. We hold Blues Competitions every year to send the best musicians to compete in the International Blues Challenge. Promoting our blues history and legacy is our purpose.

Kansas City Blues musicians and Blues Musicians within a 250-mile radius of Kansas City!

There is still time to enter the Kansas City Blues Society “Road to Memphis (RTM) local International Blues Challenge (IBC) for an opportunity to represent Kansas City in Memphis, TN, in January 2027. The last date to enter is July 11.

The RTM will be held on Saturday, August 1, at Knuckleheads KC, noon start time.

All information needed to enter can be found at blueskc.org.

It’s a great event to showcase your talents, make new friends, and network with other musicians and industry professionals.
