Waldo Tower Neighborhood Association http://www.waldotowerneighborhood.org Our members reflect the rich diversity of our established neighborhood.

First established in 1947, THA is named for the historic landmark, the Waldo Water Tower, located in Tower Park at 75th and Holmes. With several boundary extensions since then, we are now geographically one of the largest homes associations in Kansas City. Membership is voluntary, and we rely on these energetic volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors, chair our committees and help staff our events.

This Saturday, our table at The Waldo Market will have free cuttings. If you have extra cuttings or starters, please bring some to share with your neighbors. These cuttings are mainly for beginners (spider plants, pothos, Tradescantia/Wandering Dude).

To the Neighborhood, from our walking group Lead Volunteer Jim.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your patience with this delayed note, but I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who came out for the walking group last Saturday.

I apologize for the slight disorganization regarding the trash pickup. We’ve been hosting these walks for several months at various times, and until this past weekend, our largest group was five people. Having 16 neighbors show up (not including myself!) was a fantastic surprise.

We’re meeting again this Saturday at the Waldo Market, and I’ll make sure we have plenty of supplies on hand this time.

It was a pleasure meeting all of you. Thank you for taking the time to connect with your neighbors and dive into some impromptu community cleanup!

If you want some extra time to socialize with your neighbors, I'll be arriving early, 8:30 and staying around after. If anyone would like a snack or beverage, we'll be purchasing from some of the local The Waldo Market vendors.

- Jim
