How long have you been in the scene?

I’ve been in the scene since my first drive-in rave in 2020!

What made you want to become a volunteer?

I recently relocated here for medical school and joined Rave Safe to volunteer for something that aligned with my passion for harm reduction. I especially wanted to become a volunteer so that individuals outside the scene can see that someone is actively caring for their loved ones in the scene.

What’s your favorite thing about working with rave safe?

I’ve loved working with Rave Safe because it’s helped me make connections, and you can genuinely see the effects and gratitude in our community.

What’s been your favorite show you have been to with rave safe?

My favorite show with Rave Safe so far has been Benda!

🖤 Destinie Standridge! 🖤

We love Destinie and have enjoyed having her on our team. She is so fun to have around and steps in when is needed most, even on shifts she isn’t even signed up for!

We asked her some questions & wanted to share her responses 🫶

•How long have you been in the scene?
�I went to my first rave in 2018! I saw Excision here in STL and immediately fell in love with the music and the atmosphere. I’ve been to a lot of metal shows and never had the amazing interactions that I’ve had with the edm scene.
�•What made you want to become a volunteer?

I wanted to be more involved with our rave community here in STL. Not only help spread knowledge on harm reduction but also spread some positive vibes within the scene.
�•What’s your favorite thing about volunteering with Rave Safe?
�Being able to meet and talk with everyone at shows. Since I’ve started RaveSafe I’ve met so many incredible people that I wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for being at that table. I love talking about harm reduction with each person that comes up and helping spread the knowledge.
�•What’s your favorite show you have been to with Rave Safe?

I’m a Riddim rat so definitely Infekt. We met so many new folks at that show and the vibes were immaculate!
