There are few things more rewarding than seeing a community come together for a shared purpose.

This past weekend, Square Rootz KC had the privilege of teaming up with Duffle Bag Apparel for the “I AM THE BAG” Backpack Extravaganza, helping provide backpacks, school supplies, and encouragement to students and families as they prepare for a new school year.

Grateful for Duffle Bag Apparel volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make this event possible. Your willingness to serve is what community is about.

To every volunteer, vendor, sponsor, partner, and family who came out, thank you for helping make another meaningful year possible.

If received a pickup ticket, and did not received your backpack, it is now ready for pickup!

Pickup Days & Times:

Meet Kiyan, the 11-year-old Junior Designer behind this year’s 200 custom backpacks for the 3rd Annual I AM THE BAG Backpack Extravaganza! 🎒💚

In this video, Kiyan shares his story, what inspired this year’s design, and why the affirmation “Nobody Can Change Who You Are” means so much to him.

These backpacks are more than school supplies they’re a reminder to every child that they have value, confidence, and purpose before they ever walk into the classroom.
