🏆 Celebrating Our 2026 Volunteer of the Year – Deitra Johnson

At Square Rootz KC, we believe our greatest impact comes from the people who choose to serve.

This year, we’re honored to recognize Deitra Johnson as our 2026 Volunteer of the Year.

Year after year, Deitra has given her time, energy, and heart to help make our Backpack Extravaganza a success. Whether working behind the scenes, welcoming families, or stepping in wherever she’s needed, her dedication has helped create lasting memories for hundreds of children and families across our community.

Deitra, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our mission and for being such an important part of the Square Rootz KC family.

Please join us in congratulating Deitra on this well-deserved recognition! 💚🌱

There are few things more rewarding than seeing a community come together for a shared purpose.

This past weekend, Square Rootz KC had the privilege of teaming up with Duffle Bag Apparel for the “I AM THE BAG” Backpack Extravaganza, helping provide backpacks, school supplies, and encouragement to students and families as they prepare for a new school year.

Grateful for Duffle Bag Apparel volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make this event possible. Your willingness to serve is what community is about.

To every volunteer, vendor, sponsor, partner, and family who came out, thank you for helping make another meaningful year possible.

Here’s to continuing the work and creating even greater impact together. 💚
