Hey, SP neighbors! We have removed the tarragon from the herb garden as it has grown too large for the space. There are several clumps pictured here at the light pole on 38th for anyone to grab and replant asap.

The Manheim/Tracy triangle. The SP neighborhood association is in need of additional volunteers besides those who assist on the third Saturday of each month (March-October/November) as we make changes and additions to the various flowering (mostly) native plants. Plants that are moved out are available to anyone who helps out. Please leave a comment if you are interested and available to help on days other than the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Hello, Squier Parkers! The herb garden, available to all residents, is coming back to life, with several types of thyme and oregano. If you love tarragon, do we have the plant for you! It is beginning its third season and has doubled in size. Feel free to snip away to use fresh, or cut enough for drying. Seasonal herbs just added include parsley, cilantro (will be adding more), dill, and we’re experimenting with Chinese pink cutting celery. We will be adding various types of basil and possibly a few more things in a few weeks.

Hey, friends! The lemongrass plants in the herb garden have 1/2-inch stems that are ready for harvesting. The leaves can cut your skin, so work carefully or wear gloves. The leaves can be used to make tea. Take advantage of the other herbs and note that fruit trees in the orchard with red ribbons on them indicate the fruit is ready to pick.
