Thank you to everyone in the Kansas City community who came together with Stand With Ukraine KC to commemorate this solemn anniversary and to stand in solidarity with Ukraine.

Your presence honored the fallen, supported those who continue to endure, and sent a clear message that Ukraine is not alone. By gathering as a community, we reaffirmed our shared values of freedom, dignity, and justice—and showed that compassion and unity remain strong here in Kansas City.

Four years into Russia’s full-scale war, Ukraine continues to stand with courage and resilience. And because of communities like ours, Ukraine continues to know it is supported, remembered, and believed in.

‼️Please call your representatives and senators and explain why any of the above is important to you.

A House vote is expected Wednesday afternoon, and we encourage everyone to call their Representative’s office and voice support.

Key provisions in the NDAA that you can mention as the reason for your support include:

- Including the “Abducted Ukrainian Children Recovery and Accountability Act” in the NDAA, which provides US support for identifying and recovering Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, and aims to hold accountable those responsible

- Allocating $400 million for purchases of weaponry from the U.S. defense industry for Ukraine (USAI), as well as reporting of remaining USAI and plans for its use

- Additional Congressional oversight of the relationship with Ukraine. This includes requiring Congress be notified if the Pentagon cuts off intel sharing to Ukraine, ensuring aid designated for Ukraine cannot be redirected, and much more
