We are honored to be recognized as a 2026 Good Apple Award recipient.

At MHAN, we believe that meaningful change happens when lived experience, community voice, and cross-system collaboration are at the center of the conversation. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of the mothers, families, peers, providers, community organizations, and partners who work every day to strengthen support for Missouri families affected by substance use and mental and behavioral health challenges.

We are especially grateful to the women with lived experience who continue to share their stories, lead with courage, and help shape more responsive and person-centered systems of care. Your voices guide this work and remind us why it matters.

Thank you to Missouri Appleseed for this honor and for your commitment to advancing policies and practices that support children and families across Missouri. We are proud to stand alongside so many dedicated partners as we continue building stronger connections, expanding access to support, and creating pathways for healthier outcomes for mothers, children, and families.

Together, we are building a more connected, whole-person, whole-family system of care for Missouri.

We are proud to honor the Missouri Maternal Health Action Network as a 2026 Good Apple Award recipient!

The Missouri Maternal Health Action Network (MHAN) is a statewide network of mothers with lived experience, service providers, community organizations, healthcare professionals, and strategic partners working together to strengthen systems of care for Missouri mothers, children, and families affected by perinatal substance use and mental and behavioral health challenges.

By elevating lived experience, fostering cross-system collaboration, and advancing community-driven solutions, MHAN works to address barriers to care, strengthen connections across services and supports, and improve maternal and behavioral health outcomes. Together, we are building a more coordinated, person-centered, and family-focused system that supports the health and well-being of Missouri families.
