🌍 Journey to Liberia with Troop 1711!🌍

This World Thinking Day, Bethel Troop 1711 took a trip across the Atlantic to explore the vibrant culture and history of Liberia, often called "Little America." 🇱🇷✨
Our girls did an incredible job representing this beautiful West African nation. From setting up our colorful display to sharing the deep-rooted connections between Liberia and the U.S., it was a day full of learning and sisterhood.

Highlights of our day included:

The Passport Station: Our girls were ready and waiting as fellow Scouts "traveled" to our booth! They managed the flow like pros, stamping passports and sharing fun facts about Liberian life.

Cultural Engagement: It was so inspiring to see the girls engage with other troops, teaching them about Liberia's flag (which might look a little familiar! ⭐️) and its unique heritage.

Global Connection: We loved seeing our Scouts realize that even though we are miles apart, we are all part of one big global family.

We are so proud of how Troop 1711 showed up todaycurious, welcoming, and ready to lead.

Happy World Thinking Day! 🕊️💚

Celebrating Neurodiversity in Our Troop 🧩

April is Autism Acceptance Month, and it is the perfect time to celebrate the unique perspectives and incredible strengths that neurodivergent members bring to our community. In our troop, leadership, courage, and character look different for everyone and that’s exactly what makes us strong.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every girl feels empowered to lead in her own way. Whether it’s through creative problem-solving, a deep focus on a favorite badge, or a unique way of connecting with nature, our neurodivergent scouts help us see the world through a wider lens.

How to Be an Ally This Month:

❤️ Listen & Learn: Seek out stories and perspectives shared by autistic creators and advocates.
💙 Practice Inclusion: Ensure troop activities are sensory-friendly and accessible for all communication styles.
💛 Celebrate Differences: Remember that "making the world a better place" starts with understanding and valuing the person standing next to you.

Let’s continue to build a sisterhood where every scout has the space to shine! 💚

💚 Honoring the Women Who Lead the Way 💚

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible women who make our Girl Scout troop possible.

To the mentors, volunteers, and "Troop Moms" who have poured their time, energy, and heart into this season thank you. You show up daily to lead by example, teaching our girls what it means to be courageous, confident, and character-driven.
Whether you’re coordinating cookie booths, leading a badge workshop, or simply being a supportive voice, your efforts do not go unnoticed. You aren’t just leading a troop; you are shaping the next generation of female leaders.

We are so grateful for everything you do! Help us celebrate these amazing women by dropping a 💚 or a "Thank You" in the comments below! 👇

Huge thank you to the incredible leaders and volunteers of Bethel Troop 1711! 💚

Today, they went above and beyond by escorting our girls to the Scouts for a Cure event. It was a day deeply rooted in sisterhood and learning. Our troop walked away with vital lessons on women’s health and hearts full of new memories. 🌸

We are so lucky to be part of such a supportive scouting community. Thank you for leading the way and investing in our girls’ futures!
