The fourth generation entered the business in 2010 when Alyson Kerns Gray joined the company, followed by her brother, Clay Kerns, in 2015, continuing the family's legacy of leadership and innovation. Today, Kerns Trucking is headquartered in Blacksburg, South Carolina, and has expanded its footprint with additional offices in Salisbury, North Carolina; Kannapolis, North Carolina; and Pacolet, South Carolina.
