Kaneohe Business Group

Since 1969, it’s been about people making connections in their community
and having a positive voice for future generations who live and work in
Kaneohe. Members get the latest on legislative isues, economic forecasts,
sustainability, and more at monthly lunch meetings and unwind at social
gatherings. The Kaneohe Business Group also co-sponsors the annual
Windward Hoolaulea, which funds college sc

holarships for WCC students. Inspiring in its members a sense of individual civic responsibility and active interest in community affairs; promoting the commerce and industry of Kaneohe and disseminating business information; attracting and interesting visitors; and advertising and promoting the welfare of Kaneohe. The Kaneohe Business Group Members, collectively and/or individually became involved in the following community projects:

The Papio Tournament, which allowed the tagging of the papio to study its migratory habits
The Kaneohe Community Family Center, which offers classes and programs to parents and students. The Castle School Complex, which strives to help the schools on the Windward side monetarily and in other ways. Vision 20-20, which studied Kaneohe in detail, including both business and environmental issues and located historic sites. Followed the legislative issues which would affect small business. Windward Hoolaulea, which raises money to be used for the benefit of the community. Partnered with Kailua Chamber of Commerce for the Windward area’s first buy local campaign and discount program “ILoveWindward.com – Shop Where You Love”.
