Dedicated to ensuring safe, supportive housing and resources for unaccompanied homeless high school students in Northwest Montana

https://www.sparrowsnestnwmt.org We are excited to work with our community to ensure that unaccompanied homeless high school students have a safe place to sleep at night. Our goal is to use safe and sustainable housing as a mechanism for empowering unaccompanied homeless high school students to develop the personal and professional skills required to graduate high school and become productive, contributing members of our community. Founded in 2014, the organization began operating as its own fiscal agent in 2016. As a result of this independence, the organization opened its first house in Whitefish and then moved into the permanent home in Kalispell once the renovations were finished in the Summer of 2018. Please send mail/checks to P.O. Box 8384, Kalispell, Montana, 59904

Celebrating Jacob's Journey 💙

When Jacob came to Sparrow's Nest at the start of his junior year, he had just three high school credits. Over the next two years, he worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles, stay focused on his goals, and create a brighter future for himself. Today, Jacob is our longest-serving resident, and we're proud to share that he graduated on time, earned a scholarship, received multiple awards, and maintained a job at Super 1 along the way.

If you'd like to help support high school students like Jacob, please consider making a gift today. Your support helps provide the safety, stability, and opportunity teens need to succeed and helps us continue building brighter futures for homeless high school students in our community.

Why should we care about homeless high school students in our community?
Because behind every student experiencing homelessness is a young person who is doing their best to overcome challenges no teenager should have to face. While their peers are focused on homework, sports, friendships, and plans for the future, some students are worrying about where they'll sleep, how they'll get their next meal, or who they can turn to for support. Despite these challenges, they continue showing up to school, working toward graduation, and dreaming of brighter futures. By coming together as a community, we can help ensure that local youth have the safety, stability, and support they need not just to survive, but to thrive. 🩷
