Founded in 2014, the organization began operating as its own fiscal agent in 2016. As a result of this independence, the organization opened its first house in Whitefish and then moved into the permanent home in Kalispell once the renovations were finished in the Summer of 2018. We are incredibly grateful to share that Sparrow’s Nest of Northwest Montana has received a generous memorial donation in honor of Donna Lee Mast, a woman who helped shape the early foundation of our mission.
Donna was an educator, a pilot, and a collector. She lived a life filled with curiosity and purpose, and her greatest loves were children, veterans, and animals. Because of her giving spirit, her estate has supported several nonprofits throughout our community. This extraordinary gift ensures that her care for young people will continue to make a meaningful difference right here at Sparrow’s Nest, and continue to help build brighter futures in our community! 🥰
