Your KEA Executive team was on hand yesterday at GHS to welcome our (hopefully) newest future members!

Thirty educators along with their mentors, many of whom are members themselves, learned about our union’s role in the district, how to sign up, and how we can best support them as they begin their career here.

We fielded lots of questions and had conversations with many of them who are joining KPS from other districts around the state and had heard about our union already! 🎉

Also shout out to Melanie, our Montana Federation of Public Employees field rep, for joining us, too!

Our negotiations team has been diligently making progress on contract language and has tentatively agreed to several proposals from both sides of the table aimed at stabilizing workload concerns and working conditions highlighted in our member survey.

The hard work continues.
