Club Community & Service Projects
-1959 Land purchased behind the high school for what is now Froggy park.

- Early 1960's, the Lions and Firemen formed a very successful partnership in sponsoring the PIONEER DAYS festival.

- Methodist Church was purchased later becoming the home for the Putnam County Historical Society & County Museum. The club has also helped with other improvements.

- Village

Street Signs were purchased twice by the Kalida Lions.

- SINCE 1982, the Kalida Lions have installed new restrooms, additional playground equipment, new picnic tables, tennis courts, added softball/baseball diamonds, added soccer fields, and upgraded facilities in the community park.

-The Corner Property adjoining the park was purchased from Joe Clementz.

- Street Lights along Broad Street and North Street. Additional street lights will be added in the future.

- Contributions to all Northwest, Ohio, and Lions International projects have been and continue to be substantial over the years.

- Contributions to our Local School activities, County Social Organizations, and to Tragedy Victims in our community area have had a positive effect on many lives.

- Eyeglasses collection has helped many in Third World countries. THE KALIDA LIONS chartered the GLANDORF LIONS in 1979 and the CONTINENTAL LIONS in 1981. THE CLUB has grown over the years in a very positive way with an excellent blend of youth, middle age, and veteran members. With GOD'S GUIDANCE AND BLESSING, the club will continue to live up to the Lions motto: "WE SERVE"
