Unfortunately this means the numbers are on the rise of those being faced with possible reliquishment.

We've been so blessed to help so many in their times of need. Finacial difficulties have fallen upon so many of us. I am saddened when I hear of someone who gave up their family pet because they just couldn't afford to feed them.

Calls for food have tripled with no end in sight. Due to low funds I'm giving up my office and bringing into my home. I figure the money I spend on rent would be better served for those in need.

Had to put one of our puppies down yesterday. She had a good life...15 in September.

I for one am proud of those members. Too bad there's not more like them.

The Michigan Humane Society confirmed today that two members of their Board of Directors resigned Monday over the organizations euthanasia rate.

I'm sorry I haven't been back since the dog walk. My mom passed away on the day I left for vacation. I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I know this isn't the platform for this but, I've recieved so many posts. She was 95 and has wanted to go home for along time and she went peacefully. So again I send a sincere thanks...have you hugged your "MOM" today?
