We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Des Plaines Valley News for the wonderful article highlighting our annual Santa Run, as well as our coat and toy drive. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share the work our firefighter volunteers do each holiday season to support Justice and Hickory Hills.

If you or someone you know in our District is in need of a winter coat or a toy, please reach out to Firefighter Scanlon at [email protected]. Items will be distributed first-come, first-served based on what was collected during this year’s drive.

Any remaining items will be donated to local community organizations that serve our residents.

🎅🚒 What a Weekend! Santa Run 2025 Was a Success! 🚒🎅

We had an absolute blast traveling through town with Santa this weekend! Thank you to everyone who came outside to wave, take photos, and spread holiday cheer with us. Your generosity was incredible — we collected coats, hats, gloves, and toys that will make a huge difference for families in our community this season. ❤️🎁

Our donation drive isn’t over yet! We will continue accepting new and gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and unwrapped toys at Station 1 (8611 S. Roberts Rd, Justice, IL 60458) through December 12, 2025.

If you or someone you know could use a little extra help with toys or winter coats this year, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can message us directly or email [email protected] — we’re here to support our community.

🎅✨ Santa Update! ✨🚒

Santa and his firefighter elves are taking a quick break to warm up and grab some lunch before they head back out to finish spreading holiday cheer through the rest of the District! ❄️🍽️

They’ll be back on the streets in about one hour — so keep an ear out for the sirens and jingling bells! 🔔🎄

Bundle up, Roberts Park — Santa and his firefighter elves are heading out south of 87th Street today!

With last night’s heavy snowfall and today’s cold temps, our route may change on the fly to keep everyone safe. We’ll do our very best to stick to the map, but please expect adjustments. ❄️

❤️ We will be collecting donations as we go!
If you have new or gently used coats, gloves, hats, or scarves, or unwrapped toys for local families, just listen for Santa’s fire engine, bring your items outside, and we’ll grab them as we drive by.

❄️ Roads are slick — please give yourself extra time and drive slowly.
🤝 Check on neighbors who may need a hand after the snowfall.
🧊 Clear sidewalks and steps when you can to help keep everyone safe.

Santa is rolling through town on a fire engine this weekend, and our firefighter-elves are excited to help spread holiday cheer! 🎄✨

🗓 Dates & Locations:
🎁 Saturday, December 6th - West Bound 87th Street and everything North of 87th Street
🎁 Sunday, December 7th – East Bound 87th Street and everything South of 87th Street

While we make our way through the neighborhoods, we’ll also be collecting:

🧥 New or gently used winter coats
🧤 Gloves
🧣 Hats & scarves
🎁 Unwrapped toys

All donations will go directly to families right here in our community who may need a little extra support this season. ❤️

👉 How it works:
When you hear Santa’s fire engine coming, just bring your donations outside — our crew will collect them as we drive by!

✨ A Few Friendly Reminders:
Our Santa Run is powered by your dedicated firefighter elves volunteering their time, and the event is weather dependent. We will do our very best to stick to the route maps provided, but weather may force changes as the day goes on.

🔎 Santa Tracker:
A Santa Tracker will be posted the morning of each run so you can follow Santa’s movement through town in real time. We’ll also post updates when we can.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Santa is once again trading in his sleigh for a fire engine! Join us for our Annual Fire District Santa Run, where our firefighters will es**rt Santa through the community spreading holiday cheer. 🎄✨ Our crews — including our very own firefighter-elves — are already hard at work getting Santa’s ride tuned up and ready to roll. 🔧🧝‍♂️✨

🚶‍♂️💪 14 hours down, 10 to go!
Dave is still pushing forward on his 24-hour walk, showing incredible determination and grit every step of the way.

We’ve been getting plenty of selfie updates from him along the trail 📸😂—let’s just say he’s clearly better at walking than photography. But rough selfies or not, they show the heart and hustle behind this effort.
