Have you heard about this amazing non-profit organization based in Jurupa Valley? It's called Kidz Come First, and let me tell you, they are doing some incredible work in the community! This remarkable non-profit organization based in Jurupa Valley works tirelessly putting children first and positively impacting the lives of families in need and impacting the lives of the surrounding communities. They do not just do food giveaways but drop off food to those who cannot come by, like the older generation. Kidz Come First does not just drop off food, nope! They go above and beyond by calling families, checking in on them, providing a listening ear, giving them a call, checking on them, and giving them company and an ear to listen. Their tireless efforts have supported countless families in putting food on their tables and provided essential aid to those who need it most.

What's truly impressive and even more amazing is that Kidz Come First is entirely self-sustaining, relying only on donations and volunteers. Despite these limitations, they can still make a huge impact on the community. Their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring, and it is a blessing to see how much of a difference they have made in the lives of so many people.

Their work is a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together for a common goal. Thanks to their efforts, families in need no longer have to worry about where their next meal comes from, and the ones who need it most can enjoy meals delivered straight to their door with a meaningful connection. Organizations like this one make a real difference in the world, and we are grateful for their selfless work.

May is a reminder that people in communities need physical, mental, and emotional support. Support to see hope and the light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, due to a lack of volunteers, they have not been able to deliver as much food as they would like to those families. If you have some free time and would like to help make a difference in your community, please consider volunteering with Kidz Come First. If you're looking for a way to help others who are struggling, I highly recommend getting involved with Kidz Come First. Whether you want to volunteer your time, make a donation, or simply spread the word, every little bit counts. And trust me, you'll feel great knowing that you're making a real difference in the world.

If you or anyone you know needs assistance with food items, text your name and family size to Cinthia at (951) 422-9081, and she can get you set up with a pickup time for meals. You can also contact her or James for more information on how to help and get involved.

Check out their page and see what's going on. They not only have food giveaways but also some awesome events coming up this year that you won't want to miss.

Hey there! Did you know that walking is great for your physical and mental health? Walking is a simple yet effective way to improve your mood, reduce stress, and process your thoughts.

When we walk, our brain releases endorphins—natural feel-good chemicals that can help reduce stress and anxiety. Plus, walking can help us focus and process information better, making it easier to manage our thoughts and emotions. It's like a mini-therapy session on the go!

And let's not forget by focusing on the present moment, our surroundings, and our physical sensations, we can become more aware of our thoughts and what we are feeling. This awareness can help us to identify negative patterns of thinking that lie to us and replace them with positive ones of truth.

Walking can also be a great way to connect with others. Whether you're walking with a friend, a family member, or even just your furry friend, walking provides an opportunity to socialize and build relationships. This social support can be a powerful tool for improving mental health and reducing stress. Plus, who doesn't love a good chat while walking?

So the next time you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, head out for a stroll. Feel the warmth of the sun on your face and the breeze on your arms. You might be surprised at how much of a difference it can make in your mood and mental well-being. Happy walking!

Today is World Laughter Day! Who doesn't enjoy a good laugh, right?

Laughter is important for many reasons. It is a natural and scientifically proven effective way to relieve stress and tension, promote relaxation, and boost our mood. When we laugh, our body releases endorphins, which are feel-good chemicals that can help reduce pain and improve our sense of well-being. Laughter has also been shown to have physical benefits. It can improve our immune system, lower blood pressure, and even reduce the risk of heart disease.

Laughter is also contagious and can help us connect with others. It can be a great way to break the ice in social situations and build stronger relationships with friends, family, and coworkers. Laughter can also help us cope with difficult situations and find humor in challenging times. There is always something to be thankful for, even in the midst of the storms we face.

Overall, laughter is an important part of a healthy and happy life. It can help us feel more positive, connect with others, and improve our physical and mental health. So go ahead and laugh, it's good for you!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the homeless division is proud to support, stand by, and walk alongside those who struggle with mental health challenges. This is a time to raise awareness of mental health and work to break down the barriers that prevent people from seeking help.

At Jurupa Valley Coalition, we believe that mental, and spiritual health is just as important as physical health. Throughout this month, we'll share organizations, resources, and information to help promote mental and spiritual wellness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.

We encourage everyone to prioritize their mental health not just in May but beyond, whether that means taking time to relax from burnout, reaching out for support, or advocating for mental health resources in your community; every action counts!

Join us in spreading awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness as we share amazing organizations, resources, and facts. Sometimes, we don't know where to start because our problems won't let us reach out, but with knowledge, we can love everyone and make a space to be able to ask questions and get help, whether it be for ourselves or those we know and love. Together, we can make a difference and promote mental wellness for all.

I'm excited to share some amazing news with you all! As a community, we were able to achieve something great that will have a profound impact on the lives of others. I'm talking about the Brighter Night fundraiser, which was a huge success! As some of you may know, we exceeded our goal of $2,300, and I am overjoyed to announce that we were able to help our homeless and low-income students in Jurupa attend Grad Night and Prom.

Thanks to our collective efforts, we were able to establish a scholarship fund with Jurupa Valley School District, which will allow this to continue, ensuring that future generations of students can have the same opportunity. I am truly grateful to all those who contributed to this noble cause and helped make a difference in the lives of these deserving kids.

April has been the Jurupa Valley Coalition working tirelessly to ensure that their senior year ends on a high note, and I'm happy to report that their prom was a huge success! Now, we're looking forward to Grad Night, which promises to be an unforgettable event for everyone involved.

I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Jostens for their remarkable generosity in helping us provide our children with Senior hoodies, sweaters, and shirts. Their support has made our kids feel valued and cared for, which is truly heartwarming. The apparel really made their senior year. The closing of senior year is a momentous occasion for all students, regardless of their circumstances. We all have the power and opportunities to ease their burden and make their lives a little brighter. Again, thank you to Jostens!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause. Your kindness and generosity have made an immeasurable difference in the lives of these kids, and for that, we are forever grateful. I'm so proud of our community for coming together to make this happen. I want to express my gratitude to anyone who donated, spread the word, and any other way you supported this event; your support means the world to us and, especially, our kids. Let's continue to work together and make a positive impact in our community!

Jurupa Valley Coalition would love to express a heartfelt thanks to Jostens for their generosity and for helping us provide our kids with Senior hoodies, sweaters, and shirts. It's heartwarming to see the community come together to support these kids and ensure they have the end of the year they deserve. It has not only given them a tangible reminder of their time at school but also made them feel appreciated and valued by the community.

It's amazing how a small act of kindness can bring so much joy and positivity to so many. We feel so fortunate to have worked with Jostens, who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students. Their support has truly made a difference and we are grateful beyond words!
