As a big announcement, we are moving forward with aquisition of this M8. As we already purchased the vehicle itself, we are currently in the process of the 37mm main gun transfer. Big shout out goes to Michael Roberts for making this big dream come true!! We can not wait to start bringing it to events.

This is amazing story of George Ashley Jr.

Steve Ashley contacted us, that he would like to donate his dad's uniform and memorabilia to us. Why? George served with the 16th Armored Division. Here is the story Steve emailed to us:

George Ashley was orphaned at age 8-years, he moved through the foster care system in New Hampshire throughout his youth. The Army became his family when he enlisted at 19-years of age in 1942.

He transferred to the 16th Armored Division as part of a mechanical crew that maintained a fleet of lightweight “Piper Cub” (i.e. L-4 Grasshoppers) reconnaissance aircraft.
These were lightweight, single engine airplanes were used by the Army to spot artillery fire.

Somewhat of an enigma, these small planes were not part of the U.S. Army Airforce. They were part of the artillery and flown by regular artillery men.

My dad’s unit in Luxemburg helped First Lieutenant Kenneth B. Schelly of the 28th Infantry Division (“Bloody Bucket”) fly medical supplies into Bastone during the siege on Christmas Eve 1944.

Dad would rarely talk about the war, but one thing he would talk about was his units’ drive into Czechoslovakia. “We drank Pilsner beer”. Dad was so funny, he couldn’t spell anything, but he could spell Czechoslovakia, which he would do at the drop of a hat for the rest of his life.

We already received the package from Steve and we are in process of making a video of unboxing everything. We will share it soon.

Very exciting purchase. We just aquired three beautiful IDEAL stencil machines. We have No.1, 2 and 3 sizes. Now we are able to make stencils the same way they were made during WWII. If you need any stencils made for your military vehicle, send us a message or email us at [email protected]

Pavel's Restoration finished the first test drive of our 1942 White M2 Halftrack. There is still a lot of work to do, but we are now much closer to finishing the restoration.

We are super excited - our M2 Halftrack, the Able Eight " Arlene" did it's first test drive today and everything works as it suppose to!!!
