The Infant Safe Sleep Foundation Educating parents and caregivers on safe sleep for infants. Includes dangers on bed sharing, and what a safe crib looks like, news updates, and recalls

We educate parents and caregivers on safe sleep for infants which includes room sharing but not bed sharing, nothing in a crib except the baby and a sleep sack. We urge against sleep positioners, bumper pads, and blankets as all of these items can cause a suffocation risk. We also educate on how to REDUCE the risk of SIDS although there is no way to know which babies will be vulnerable to SIDS but we do know that creating a safe sleep environment does help decrease the risk.
