Joplin Area Food Action Network- JFAN

Joplin Area Food Action Network- JFAN The Joplin Area Food Action Network promotes regional food equity and access. The mission of JFAN is to increase access to healthy, locally grown food.

The Joplin Area Food Action Network (JFAN) is composed of community members concerned about ensuring that local residents have access to healthy, nutritious food, which is also known as “food equity.” Members include businesses, nonprofit organizations, local government agencies, faith based organizations, and individuals. Current goals include increasing awareness of food access, engaging stakeholders in food policies, collecting data to better understand food insecurity, and kick starting community initiatives in the Webb City area (as determined as a priority area by the 2014 JFAN Food Assessment). We meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 8:30-9:30 am at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce. All are welcome to attend.
